okay, i have SO many questions.......trying to get all this stuff working cause your setup is pretty close to what i'm wanting......right after hacking the wii u i originally looked into retroarch and found it annoyingly lacking, and the original reason i started diving into the wii u hacking rabbit hole was wanting to reliably play n64 games on a console emulation. the Wii was severely lacking as far as efficient setups go, so i dove into the Wii U. that being said, organization as far as proper good explanations are either lacking or hard to find the fully updated ones....

Currently, i have gotten your SD card repository, and replicated the USB loader GX forwarder to vWII fowarder to loader within the homebrew channel, as well as having nintendon't installed (just need to set up a second hard drive to link all that together)

do you have any specific guides that can be linked to for getting the n64 and other emulator channels/programs set up and running? is the overclocking patcher useable with CBHC? what's the procedure for all that if it is needed? any help would be appreciated.

Is there the latest version of Wii64 (Rice) to install on WiiU? As a channel of WiiU with wupinstaller, instead of in Vwii

Is there the latest version of Wii64 (Rice) to install on WiiU? As a channel of WiiU with wupinstaller, instead of in Vwii

Hello Slegiar and Robertuxo,

About the Wii64 (N64), the channel that is located in following path: install\05.Wii64 Rice, is a channel that you can install with the WUP installer, and is built by me. The used .dol is from the Wii 64 Rice that is located in the following path: apps\wii64 Rice.

The original source is https://github.com/FIX94/Wii64/releases.
Put the roms in: \wii64\roms.
The saved states in: \wii64\saves.

Hope it helps.

Best regards

Very cool! Thanks! Is there any way you could explain how to make the latest SNES9X Version installable or could you update your version to 4.3.9?

It in other words: Could you explain how to compile the different emulators so that they become installable in the Wii U menu and still have Gamepad Support (at least for SNES9x)?

I would love to understand the process and be able to update the versions myself once they come out :)

PS: What is this snes Controller of yours called btw? :)

Hi vbarros22!

Of course, here you have everything: https://mega.nz/#!3oIx0ISJ!rGuDD7z8hPp4HuCOP216sINfbB-He11_C7WQYSJ4UQI

I actually did them my self really easily...Just downloaded the icons from google and copy-paste them with Paint (Windows).

Hi noreason4!

The thing is that the latest snes9xgx doesn't have he Gamepad Support, so I had to take the previous one from FIX94... I asked him for this issue as you can see in the corresponding post: https://gbatemp.net/threads/is-ther...as-libwiidrc-for-wii-vc-injects.491686/page-3

*Either way, I have asked here whether the latest version has the Gamepad Support: https://gbatemp.net/threads/snes9xgx-mod-preview-wiiupro-screenshot-button.389448/page-32

To create my own installable emulators, I just used the WiiVC Injector v3.0.1 that you can find in https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-wiivc-injector-script-gc-wii-homebrew-support.483577/
The steps to do this are really easy... If you don't achieve it by yourself, I can tell you that I followed the following Youtube tutorial:

And my controller is this one: https://www.amazon.es/YIKESHU-excel...&pf_rd_p=6ad351ec-c562-5b8b-a29d-d191f02f7b4d

Hope it helps!

The wii u is a great console for this, I have a similar set-up to yours.
I keep all my console games on wii u, and all my handheld ones on 3ds.
It would be perfect, if only n64 emulation were better.

Just to confirm, I did it on my WiiU, and worked like a charm (I always like to have the most updated version, it is like a craze for me :P)

In summary, having the EUR WiiU in 5.5.2, with CBHC installed with the FW 99.99.99:
  • We don't need to "prepare" the WiiU, like uninstalling, or deactivating anything as the CBHC or Haxsi or whatever.
  • Just let the upgrade download, then it will ask to reboot.
  • After the reboot, the upgrade will be installed.
  • After upgrading, we just go to the "do not touch", it will open the Haxchi, will reboot the WiiU in a "signed" mode.
  • After that, just go to the Homebrew Launcher, go to the CBHC Install Program and do it over again.
  • Reboot again.
  • Everything will keep working and the FW 99.99.99 maintained.
Thank you and hope you take advantage of it.

Your Homebrew Channel has support to Gamepad?

Good point.

In my case it is not, because, if I do that, the games of the vWii wouldn't be read by the console, as the vWii games USB is hidden with the Ustealth_R8.

So I just use the "forwarder" to fully launch the vWii mode, to make the hidden USB visible, and at the same time loosing the posibility of managinig the vWii stuff with the Gamepad.

Hope it helps!

How does this affect injected Wii games that have support of differnet controllers through Nintendont?
