I would class any game that makes it way onto the internet before release date as a "leak" personally. But thats just me. Thanks for the heads up, grabbing it ASAP.
Currently the .3ds rom works on gateway on n3ds but the .cia doesn't. I'm sure that'll be fixed soon.

Street dates are not laws, you can't illegally sell something because of the street date. However, companies may get mad at you, threaten to not allow them to sell their games, or as far as to sue them if the amount sold ahead of time is a lot. Amazon ships before street to get there on release day but it can arrive early sometimes.
It's not illegal according to the law, but it breaks the terms that the store has agreed to. I didn't mean illegal in the literal sense.
Anyway, that completely wasn't the point of my post at all
Edit: Game's pretty fun online, but sometimes I wish there was a chat function. The preset messages do a decent enough job at conveying the message but they're not always enough.

I was wrong, the .cia works on Gateway emunand, I just had to update my GW launcher.

and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses) -

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"

i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect

Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.+1
