If it is Xenoblade, I would play the first one once and again, there are many things better in that game, but the music is particularly awesome.

I actually liked xenoblade chronicles x a lot. It's def a totally different game but it's never advertised as being the same game besides sharing the name
Just wanted to point out, that all those handhelds that could connect to the TV couldn't do local properly like a home console can and don't run at a higher setting like the Switch does.
Yeah he came off as kind of an a-hole. I know they were drinking, and it was a casual conversation, but that was pretty unprofessional.

Well, in Japan, the original Xenoblade Chronicles game was just called "Xenoblade". Which is why the games in Japan are Xenoblade, Xenoblade X (Cross), and Xenoblade 2.

Respawn Entertainment fairly new with it only being a few years old after all but it's already built a name for itself.It's being lead by the co-creator of the Call of Duty series and the co founder of Activision's Infinity Ward along with some of their old devs. So far they've only released Titanfall and its sequel but are working on an unnamed star wars game for EA.
If you don't like CoD then yes...arse. Watch out though thems fighting words around some people.
Hopefully the price comes down a bit and there's some good homebrew for it. Then it'll be a beast!

Titanfall has different dynamics from Halo or even Call of Duty.
I could write quite a bit about the differences (ground combat vs "titan"/mech combat, wall gliding, etc...) but you don't seem like a person who'd actually consider it without bias.
Also since when does a game have to be original to be good ?

You can buy it on Origin bundled with battlefield 1 deluxe for 74,99. Respawn entertainment also said they dislike season passes so titanfall 2 will only get free maps
