I figured it out. The problem was the firmware I downloaded one from another site. Then I put it on my SD card and it worked, thanks for the help anyways.

Hey I got a strange problem with my Supercard DSTWO I brought today. It was flashed and tested to be compatible with v 4.0.0-7E for the 3DS beforehand and it arrived I extracted all the necessarily files to my SD card and tried the SCDS2 out but it wasn't working on my 3DS saying "An error has occurred. Please turn the power off". I then used my micro SD card in my friends SCDS2 and it worked perfectly with my 3DS but not with my brand new one. Any ideas as how do I resolve this?

Rename the update to dstwoupdateb and boot the dstwo for 3 minutes then reboot. You should be good ;)

Sounds like they didn't flash the latest firmware, you'll need to obtain a non-3 DS and upgrade the firmware of the dstwo from that.

Edit: or you could try the method Fudge mentioned, but it's not recommended if you can get access to a DS.

Yeah, I had to try the method Fudge mentioned as I have no access to a DS but it went smoothly and my SCDS2 is working now. Cheers guys!

The DSTwo mania has cooled down a bit, and while it's without doubt the best flashcard for DS still on the market, one thread will suffice.

You can redirect your questions here: http://gbatemp.net/topic/290190-the-supercard-dstwo-beginners-guide-how-to-setup-your-dstwo

Thanks!

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
