On October 16th, several of the official social media websites for Silent Hill, including the official ones by Konami, started uploading a particular "Silent Hill" image, stirring excitement among Silent Hill fans that have been eager for any kind of announcement about the franchise ever since the highly praised PT teaser demo released all the way in 2014.

Both Konami and Silent Hill official sites then announced a streaming event (or transmission as they call it), where they will announce the latest updates about the Silent Hill franchise. The stream itself is scheduled for October 19th, 2022 at 2pm PDT.

I gotta be honest, even if we get something as basic as the first 3 games remastered, (I do hope we get Silent Hill 4, is still my favourite despite being the black sheep of the original ones), I'd be happy.
Though, with how the announcement seems to go, they might be announcing:

• Old titles remastered (1-3 and maybe 4 hopefully)
• New game in the franchise and/or remake of Silent Hill 1
• New movie? We gotta have that Silent Hill 2 retelling with Sean Bean, come on
• Something else, who knows.

I mean, we did get an announcement for a remaster of Suikoden 1+2 out of nowhere a while ago so maybe there's some hope. If I was a betting man, I'd put my money on a remake/remaster of 2. As much as I love the first 4 titles SH was never a blockbuster series, so I don't think they will go all in on a AAA sequel or even a full remake of the classic titles. But who knows.
