....god
Windwaker was one of my first games ever, but the way y'all overhype it gets tiring. Why do you need a second HD release? Just play the Wii U port at this point.
I mean, part of me agrees with you there, and yeah, the WiiU version is still around for whoever wants it.

...Meanwhile, another part of me knows that I'll never have the money/interest to go hunting for a used WiiU just for the one game, and Wind Waker HD being ported to Switch would be a lot more convenient (and less likely to burn a hole in my limited gaming budget) comparatively.

I don't get the point of yelling for another port when you can just use a PC/Steam Deck to emulate the HD Wii U port or the OG Gamecube game with upscaling (maybe there are also patches for better graphics, idk) - unless you're that adamant to have it on switch, then sucks to be you.

I'd rather prefer either a remake of Phantom Hourglass (which is an underrated WW sequel), or a third installment, probably an in-between from PH to ST (apparently their action is 100 years apart, there's a lot to do)

Eh, personally I try not to go "that" route in most cases. Not saying I haven't gone that route ever. Just that I like to try to support official outlets for series that I enjoy whenever (reasonably) possible. Also, I have the original Wind Waker for Gamecube (with a Gamecube that still works), so even less reason to go out of my way to get a WiiU for HD, or go through the hassle of getting a WiiU emulator to work on my current laptop without performance/graphical issues just to play the one game.

As for the suggestion to "just use a PC/Steam Deck", let me ask you this: if I don't have a flexible enough budget to go out of my way to get a WiiU, what makes you think I have the budget to build a strong desktop PC / buy my own Steam Deck* to emulate the WiiU?

*[There's technically a Steam Deck in my home, but it's owned by my brother, so I can't exactly just take it and emulate stuff on it whenever I feel like doing so. And good luck getting him interested in emulation (god knows I tried with Phantasy Star Portable 2 years ago).]
