I will be one pissed off MF if they release the rest of those ambassadore games.... those games were given to increase the value of the console, to those who paid more, ( we were already screwed by Walmart when they dropped trough er I mean price too early and gave those [games] away to those who DIDN'T pay the Abmassador fee difference... if they finally release them all, then there goes that value down the drain... and ME as a repeat customer to boot. I already have two other conditions in place for which if these conditions are met I will sell all my (3) DS's and not look back. Both of which would be inexcusable for Nintendo to do. HINT One involves Fire Emblem not making it to the EU AND US...

So because I'm generarely really poor, I'm not a Fan of Nintendo? I wasn't able to buy the 3DS until some weak ago because of some job I did to gain some extra money.
Are the rich supposed to get more stuff because they was able to buy a 3DS early?

The ambassador game's should be released for everyone but with a price tag.
Hell we non-ambassadors don't even have a single GBA game on the virtual console.

Ambassador program is just a lame excuse to satisfy people that pay'd more than other's but still complained about the price.(If you think it's expensive then don't buy it)

Let them release all of their libraries from last gen to the beginning of time as downloadable titles. They also will increase storage space on the system, give us goodie bags with five 32gb sd cards to entice us to buy as many downloadable titles as we can afford, fix the irritable MW glitch, some decorative stickers for our systems, some mario and zelda shaped candy, an apology note for giving away our ambassador games, and a smiley faced bookmark.

In other news: The eshop has been prettied up.


Anyways, on a more serious note, I do hope they release something like a downloadable SNES or N64 title or something to show us how much further they could expand the eshop in the future. It does feel like too much of a dream though, as I'm sure they'd rather just remake N64 games than release VC ones. =( I too hope they finally rid us of that infamous Maka Wuhu glitch so I don't have to leave each time I see someone suggest it and it gets the pick.

If it was a flashcard that could run 3DS roms i can understand, but DS roms? Nintendo, this is the "3"DS not the DS.....
Oh well... after the 20th the waiting begins again til the Acekard's and stuff get unblocked.

You have to remember that the DS isn't yet a "defunct" system, yet. the DS system and games are still being manufactured and sold new, so there's still money to be made (and lost) from Nintendo's point of view.

So I was reading on wikipedia about the 3DS system software, then I found that there will be an update on march 20.

I know wikipedia isn't a good source for information but does anyone know something about this?

New feature's:

• Ability to access Nintendo eShop account from other internet enabled devices including computers and smartphones. This system update will allow users to take pictures of QR codes with the 3DS from the other device’s screen to redeem purchased content.
• Ability to update physical Nintendo 3DS Games via Nintendo eShop (DLC feature)
• A brand new mode for the Nintendo 3DS system eShop.
• This update will add the Nintendo Network to the 3DS

I've been looking everywhere for a more concrete date but so far nothing, Wiki doesn't even say March 20 it currently states TBA, could you please source where the date came from?
If the page was updated my bad but I find it odd that the news isn't posted everywhere, I would say it is likely but I would think Thursday has a better chance as Nintendo normally updates on Thursdays also Kid Icarus is released the day after, which will be taking advantage of the Nintendo network and a new possible model of the e shop.

I agree with most of what you say, about the last part tho, if you're talking about Fire Emblem Awakening for the 3DS, it was already announced for an European release later this year, confirmed by Nintendo themselves. =S

I agree with Midna. Even if they're all released (and cuz of my flashcart, it really doesn't matter to me either way), the ambassadors got them for free. That was your compensation, after all... free games, before anyone else (if anyone else) got to buy them. Ambassadors aren't losing anything as long as non-ambassadors have to pay for the games.

We we told that the ambassador GBA games would never be released EVER in the eShop. If they are released, the would surely count as breaking a contract, there would then be insane pressure for Nintendo to offer some sort of refund to those who would have been essentially ripped off.

I can confirm it's not just bug fixes, however they are adding AUTOMATIC SECURITY UPDATES now.
Kiss goodbye to any form of 3DS hacking, with this in place they've surely won. Not that i care, I buy all my 3DS games and I'm a proud owner of a massive abundance of games!
