No official release yet???
Please wait, they said it was a bit delayed to fix things up, please wait a bit more.
No official release yet???
I'd be glad to work on this PR. I'm a bit rusty though, last time I coded on videogame consoles was on GBA and GP32X, 10 years ago. No idea how the Wii U works.Once I can figure out the problem with my channels installed on the system menu requiring HBL to be ran at least once before they are ran, they shouldn't require this, I will be working on adding things to Retroarch like multiple controllers. The source code is open and he takes PRs, I can't be the only developer that wants to eventually work on this, or am I?
sadly nope, since its an arm core emulator not ppc.Is it Possible PicoDrive will be a core on the wii u's retroarch???

It's not an ARM exclusive core since it got PSP and Windows ports.
From what I remember, it has ARM assembly stuff rewritten in portable C but Picodrive code is only designed for running on little-endian CPUs (like ARM, X86, MIPS) while PPC is big-endian.
So it should compile but will crash sooner or later because data words and longwords are not handled correctly.
picodrive has 32x support.Isn't Genesis Plus the better/more accurate emulator though?
picodrive has 32x support.
yeah 32x is probably the only reason to want picodrive, on new 3ds the 32x emulations runs like half speed on "3d" games and fullspeed on 2d games so yeah if wiiu got a 32x port it would work really well imo, but yeah no on will port it to wiiu tough.Fair enough, not sure if there'll be a PPC port though.

Just run HBAS on your Wii U or go to this website and download to your PC and put on your SD card - https://www.wiiubru.com/appstore/#/category/emulatorsDoes anyone have a list of all cores for the Wii U and where to get the latest compiles? The buildbot compiles 20 of them, but BlueMSX, GW and Vecx and FUSE seem to be missing (there also seem to be no RPX versions of these, are there?)
Before someone tells me to start coding (again): I'm no coder and I'm patient.
A list of all supported BIOS files (filenames + checksums) would also be cool, if anyone has managed to set up all the cores. (Yeah, I've seen the thread on "that ISO site". It seems to contain a lot of uneeded BIOS files, if I'm not mistaken.)
Thanks, but I prefer to put the cores to WiiU/Retro instead of WiiU/Apps. (Somehow I hoped that someone would code a working version of the Retro Launcher Channel, but that's another unfullfilled wish). How do you chose whether or not to update the emulators on HBAS?Just run HBAS on your Wii U or go to this website and download to your PC and put on your SD card - https://www.wiiubru.com/appstore/#/category/emulators
then how do they have it working on the 3ds?sadly nope, since its an arm core emulator not ppc.
Maybe because 3ds is arm ... that would be my guess.then how do they have it working on the 3ds?
Most likely you didn't put the bios in the /cores/system folder. For me it works fine, it's just that games are like 10 FPS. Since it's an interpreter. For real speed we should work on a Dynarec core, but then compatibility suffers (see WiiSX).Does the Mednafen PSX core work? I tested it with a few games and all I got was a black screen. Also not sure if this might be the problem but for some reason only the .cue and .ccd files seem to show up, so those are the ones I've been loading.
The PAL version plays ok on Not64 (vWii)n64 emulation? im dying to play banjo tooie
really? because i tried it on the regular wii and it was really slowThe PAL version plays ok on Not64 (vWii)
