Is GBA still not running full-speed?

Been trying for months and it runs 40-60 fps, but has audio issues.

Also does retroarch have stable builds at all? Or do they just keep pushing stuff out, without testing?
If u have Adrenaline just use gsSP it's way better than retro & mGba.. It's perfect for me

It looks a lot better running naively on vita, via adrenaline it looks worse.
Was hoping it would be running full-speed by now.

It just needs a little more to be full-speed.

The nature of these nightly builds from them is that they're automatically generated at the set time each day, so as such going for the Retroarch nightlies you are not going to get stable releases.

As for the GBA have you tried GPSP inside Adrenalin? I find that quite good for GBA in comparison to the native Vita versions so far.

Try VBA, it really works beautifull.

Still missing the final of Castlevania - Aria of sorrow, it craashes when the castle dissapears. Some nightlies reproduce more of the banishing effects than others, but still not quite there. (I'm beating the last boss everytime I update the cores and bin.)

I've tried VBA, but any rom I try doesn't load up.
Anything specific I need to do?

Get the GBA BIOS file, most likely. Put it in with other BIOSes; the directory is mentioned at the beginning of this thread.

I honestly don't know what is going on. I run "mega man battle network 3 Blue" and I get screen tearing, by just walking.
Never had this issue on my psp, might be a bug in adrenaline?

If you can, try the game I mentioned.
Skip the intro, right after you should be able to move around.
Tell if you get screen tearing or not.

I use mGBA. The interface is simple, easy to navigate, and speed of games.

I just wish I could set a default ROM directory without having to point to it every time.

Now if only Retroarch could save a default ROM directory without having to point to it every time...

EDIT> just tested "mega man battle network 3 Blue" on gsSP ... all went perfect , no tearing or frame rate issues .. sound was spot on perfect ... played for about 10 minutes .. had to talk to room full of kids.. then had a battle

mGBA 5.1 is better than Retroach for GBA games
But
gsSP is better than both of the above
have you put your gba bios file in the root of your gsSP folder?
I always leave one in my ROM folder also...

I will try another rom, maybe that is the problem.
Also, I do have bios in correct location.

To clarify I had screen tearing when I started run/walk around the room.
The game runs fine fps wise.

they need to have a strong line up on the launch titles too. I think they should move metroid prime 4 to the next console because by now it has been quite a while and there's no release date scheduled yet

    for $200? rofl.
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
well as far as metroid prime 4 is concerned, the next system probably is similar enough to the current gen they can probably easily just slap it onto a next gen cart and call it good :P
