Does anyone know how to officially report bugs/issues? Each nightly seems to be getting worse and worse. Fast forward hasn't worked for a while now, and the menu is super sluggish

I've been trying to play N64 via the PSP emulator. Not a great experience... Mario 64 runs well, but nothing else I've found is great. Smash Bros just about playable and Mario Kart is SO close to being. It does feel like the extra power of the Vita would make quite a few games run well!

Yeah there is talk of a version of Mugen64 in the works for ages now but nothing has come of it, if you're playing that Daedalus64 just make sure to disable the Audio in settings before you launch Mario 64 and the game runs almost at max speed (possibly with the first degree of frame skip enabled also) I got all 120 stars using that emulator on the PSPgo.

Dosbox still crashes if it loades win95 or duke nukem 3d. It used to work but then broke a few months ago. It crashes the hole app with the c2-12828-1 vita error.

idk why anybody would have been insane enough to play it without audio and annoying frameskip when you could have just as easily had a ds with the ds remake running at actual fullspeed with audio or you could just currently have a 3ds with a sky3ds+ and r4 gold and play better versions (Super Mario 64 DS, Mario Kart 7, Super Smash brothers 3DS) of each of those games he mentioned again at full speed and add the amazing looking majoras mask and ocarina of time remakes which run at 60fps instead of being locked at 20fps

Just rather have it on my PSP along with the rest of my games rather than lugging around more consoles, I have the Mario64Ds cart too for my 3DSXL but I wasn't a huge fan of that game compared to the original, sure there is bonus stars added, but when you start messing around with the game to the point where you are playing as Yoshi with hats for the whole thing it just ruined the core aspect of it for me MARIO64 not Yoshi and Chums.

Considering a good portion of it was done at work too there was no real issue of me not having sound lol, I've played Mario64 for 2 decades now, I can imagine the Yahoooooooo noises of Mario jumping about those stages and will have each stages music in my brain until the day I day lol, I could humm you the whole games soundtrack :D

point is we want a decent new N64 emulator oneday for the Vita ... i definitely would play the Zelda Games again on my OLED ... Ganoncrotch absolutely nailed it... the DS mario 64 was inferior to the original ,& no one wants two consoles on them + the Vita is a all round better device ...... playing mario64 on my Vita is fine with sound on.? its just the others ( Zelda ) just ain't worthwhile with sound on.. would the 64mb Ram improve VHBL ?
i think VHBL has had it's day we need mupen64vita... or some new N64 emulator

you only play yoshi for the first 30 min then you get mario I also had the original game but im not stuck in the world of nostalgia like every person who ever says a remake is bad hell people always WANTED yoshi in the n64 version and now that he is in it people still complain about it....and i ALWAYS carry my vita, 3ds and nvidia shield portable around with me along with a 26800mAH powerbank so I hate the "nobody wants to lug around" blah blah blah bullshit because combined I can practically play whatever the hell I want and without having to worry about shitty performance

Deary me, what a post, my only question to you would be, if you want max performance and don't mind walking around with a bag full of gear... why not just invest in a powerful gaming laptop? I mean it would clearly give you far better performance than a handful of (relatively) under-powered portable devices, you could even then pop on some nostalgia goggles and enjoy the version of Mario 64 which was designed to use an analogue stick rather than a d-pad (superior indeed) and go wild with extra's which PC emulation would allow you to do.

As for people being vita fans or fanboys in the Vita portion of GBAtemp, well... that is indeed a possibility isn't it!

Edit Dear lord how bad the DS version looks compared to the original, I mean... really you think it's nostalgia goggles which makes people think the N64 version is superior?

N64 -

Not just the graphics, but even when you are using the Mario cap... it's still Yoshi, you still hear Yoshi all the time, makes it even weirder.

you have made it clear you have never even played the DS version you unlock the real mario 30 min in with his real voice making the hat only useful when you are playing as a different character (which is not even necessary) and using a youtube comparison video for graphics is just insane even most vita games look like shit when viewed on youtube vs actually seeing them on the vita...as for your gaming laptop inquiry thats already in my bag as well I use each system so I can play each systems exclusives when I want to any real gamer would understand that

Was going to go off and get my 3DS and copy of Mario64DS out to take a pic of it with a middle finger to this post, but you know that'd involve effort and I see that GBAtemp has a block button so as a new member here instead of going and putting in effort to this little back and forth of finding out just how many devices one human will put in their backpack to deem themselves a "real gamer" I'll instead check out that feature of the forums and see how it works!

Careful in these winter months though, wouldn't want to get your bag of gear wet, could be rather costly! No hard feelings and whatnot just that I don't see anything positive coming from continuing this further.

I get ya anyways, Would be cool to have an update on the Mugen port over to the Vita, I would think even at its absolute worst it would still blow away the emulation of the PSP versions of the PSP offerings we have now with Adrenaline, I guess with everything with the Vita good things come to those who wait heh, we had to wait almost 5 years for the first decent cracking into the FW of the console another few months for N64 joy shouldn't be too far off hopefully. There is still a lot of great games on that system which I've had in my backlog for way too long and now I really can't see myself sitting at the TV and playing through those games on the original Hardware when I can have them in a handheld (almost).

It's a weird console for me in that I got bogged down in the first wave of great games like Mario64, Goldeneye, Ocarina of Time, Killer Instinct Gold, Lylat Wars, F-Zero, Mario Kart64, Diddy Kong Racing and such but never actually got into the later games in its life like Banjo Tooie, Majora's Mask, Conkers BFD, DK64, Jet Force Gemini, or even Perfect Dark although I heard that the X360 remake of Perfect Dark Zero is the way to experience that game today (according to a recent digital foundry review) and the 3DS for MM I guess.

for me personally im couldn't be happier with my Vita right now now 30 Vita Games ,.,. 100's of Retro Classics , 20 PSP favorites from back in the day ..PSX games ..all my Street Fighter Arcade Games & so on... the only thing left is my most beloved console from back in the day N64 ! Banjo Tooie, Majora's Mask, Conkers BFD, DK64, Jet Force Gemini The Zelda Games are still really good titles to play ...Donkey Kong 64 ... i played that so much with my older brother ... the Vita scene is exciting right now something to try & learn every week ... im sure some hard working Dev will figure out a way to give us all a decent N64 emulator ... sometime ... in the future

Is GBA still not running full-speed?

Been trying for months and it runs 40-60 fps, but has audio issues.

Also does retroarch have stable builds at all? Or do they just keep pushing stuff out, without testing?
