Hacking Reset Glitch JTAG Hack dashboard question

I got a console with dashboard 14719, I realize I shouldn`t update it if I want to use the reset glitch jtag hack, my question is what about the games that require the dashboard to be higher then 14719.
Is this still a viable hack to do on the console (looking ahead into the future) or is something better on the horizon? How do updates work?

Yes.
Cause you'll update your hacked NAND via the pc and flash it to the console.
Thus updating it.


edit: obviously you update your hacked NAND after you RGH'd your console.
