Well I'm not familiar with the app you're talking about so I'm afraid I can't respond thoroughly. You'll be able to test my app soon anyway to get your own idea :)

Btw here's a little sneak peek at the latest debug build

The button to change the region is in the bottom-right corner, check it out :)

Any hope that it become a kind of "alternative" eshop?

Well I'm only experienced with desktop programming so if anyone decides to make such an app on the WiiU, it's probably not gonna be me :)

Alright guys, since the first open beta is coming very soon I'd like people who are interesting in helping me debug the app to send me a pm !
But before you do please keep in mind that the application is still a WIP, and you will definitely encounter bugs. But isn't that the very purpose of a beta :P ?
Anyway, see you soon !

Just a quick update, I don't know if you've seen it on the first post but I've recently added a new feature : game previews !
You can now have a loot at some screenshots before downloading your game, exactly as you are able to on the eShop :)
And if anyone is wondering, I'm still accepting beta testers !

something I always wondered with the programs where you have to provide the URL to that key file : isn't that download require an account on that iso site?
I can't even watch their forum without an account, I thought the download required registration too.
But if it works from external program, I guess the url is not protected. (see how much I know about this piracy website, I don't even know the links to tickets! ahah)

It's not a link to the iso site it's a direct link to the same archive but on a different website

I wish there was a way to get VC games from this eShop like program, but still, amazing work :P
At the moment you need rednand with sigpatches for vc games due to differences in the ticket file and rednand isnt ment for end users yet (most likely the person who created this programme diosent have rednand set up and there aren't many tickets sources for vc games) . Dont quote me on this though

So will there be a time when RedNAND is somewhat more user-friendly or will it pretty much be only for upper echelon users who know how to use Python? In the mean time, I'll be waiting for RetroArch Wii U.

it will become easier.
I hope my crystal ball is still working.

real answer:
this is DAY 1 !
it's still in development.
do the math ;)

I already told you : let the things cool down!
Don't try or want everything right now when something is new.
the "usb install" method, I'm still rewriting the guide every day because there's a new method every day for the last 10 days! it's always becoming easier day by day. just wait.
(not sure how many time I said it! haha)

Dont think rednand will but salt looks polished enough for end users and that will probably come out soon.
