What's the current status of rxTools for N3DS?
I have my Gateway emuNAND setup in my N3DS and I want to switch over to rxTools.

Is it stable now?
Where can I check the latest beta/nightly?

Or.. I recalled something. Why not use Travis-CI or other services?
If you have experience on how to install devkitPro+devkitARM, and python2 and other things required, on a Linux PC.
You may debug your travis CI script or other and find someone's FTP to upload the release zip built.
Thus, we do only need a valid access to hold those zip files. And? all automatically done, no alway power on personal machines.
I'll definitely try Travis-CI
Of course I know how to install devKitPro, since I only use Ubuntu :)

It's pretty stable now, but some functions still missing.

What functions would be those that are still missing?

Also, why aren't any of the new builds in the OP?
Could an admin or another person add those to the OP for quick availability?

Many of the "tools" aren't compatible and the devmode doesn't work yet, mset works, like the rxMode (sysNAND + emuNAND).

Because there aren't official 3.0 release yet, still in development. It is not 100% functional so it's not for everybody !

I'd use Ubuntu more often, as a main OS BUT it doesn't support my laptops touch pad and I cant stream audio wirelessly via Bluetooth. Not to mention that most of my Steam library only likes Windows or Mac ._.

It doesn't support what? :wtf:
What's your laptop?
As for audio streaming, use Blueman.

Neat. As for my laptop, it's an Acer Aspire E 15 (E5-571-260C). Its using one of those "Smart Precision" touch pads so... Yes, I've done the research before. Had no luck, unfortunately.

The touch pad is from ELAN.

Edit: For an i3 with 4gb of RAM, it's foooking great! Best laptop I ever had :3

I recently aquired a 3ds on 9.2 and just installed this.

Do I need to launch the internet browser to launch rxtools everytime? Or is there a way for me to boot into emuNAND right away without the browser?

Maybe a kernel update can solve this. Try Ubuntu 15.04. If it doesn't work, try installing Linux 4.1. If it still doesn't work... see here.

Use the MSET exploit.

"mset" is the internal name of the System Settings application.
You have to install an older vulnerable version of mset, then you'll be able to install a corrupted DS profile that allows you to load rxTools offline, just by visiting your DS Profile settings.
You can install this older version through rxTools's menu (after converting it into a "downgrade pack") or you can just download it and install it on your sysnand with a CIA manager, like DevMenu.

(This is for the latest build)
Try http://dukesrg.github.io/?rxTools/sys/code.bin

or this QR code

Older builds would have to use

http://dukesrg.github.io/?rxTools.dat

Does Mset works 9.2 with the latest build?
the one from today?
Yep, for n3DS, also on o3DS normally but on the lastest lastest, it's temporary bugged... You need to use a trick.
I can get the MSET to work on the o3DS with the lastest nightly.
I copied the code.bin from the /sys folder on the root of my SD and renamed it into rx3.dat then use rxinstaller.nds with ropcustom.txt

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
