Unfortunately revamping the tools isn't enough, it's actually a bit pointless because of d0k3's work.

As for rxMode, well ... it's what you truly call bloated (hardcoded addresses, different for each version etc...). And the arm9 exception handler fails at catching all the different kinds of arm9 exceptions except the Data Abort one (r/w at invalid address)

OK, you got me. Will start a new thread with alpha3 release with nand and partitions dump/inject in several days.
d0k3 did a great job with Decrypt9, but unfortunately it still have the same value of hardcode as was in the rxTools. I just can't propose to abandon a working project and switch to currently partly dismantled one. Not until beta phase which will have all GUI and tools working.
There will be CFW time after that, I'm actually did not look into the code and will need much more help with it, because currently I was doing nothing more than carefully implementing structures described at 3dbrew and wrapping code around.

I recently installed the new version of rxTools 3.0 beta 2 on my o3DS v9.2.0.20E. After pressing a key (after installation) to boot rxMode. it freezes. Even after retrying to boot the rxmode (sys an emu) through browser hax it still freezes. I still can browse the rxTools menu.


Am I missing something?

Check the firmware file you're using. recently Nintendo have removed firmware file for v9.6 form NUS.

The o3ds_cdn_firm.py file created a firm folder with 3 files in it. also it is the lastest rxtools available. firm folder contents: 0004013800000002.bin / 0004013800000102.bin / 0004013800000202.bin.I don't know what firmware you mean: the emunand or sysnand firmware.

o3ds_cdn_firm.py downloads 9.6 which is not yet available on the server. rxTools itself not compatible with newer firmares. Get firmware elsewhere.

Ah I see. the python file downloaded the 404 error in the file. It's a html file instead of binary. i need to download the 9.6 files from another source.

EDIT: now I have the correct files but It gives me now a bottom black screen.

EDIT 2 Reverted back to 2.6. now working somehow

I have the same problem. Freezes when booting to rxmode but able to browse the rxtools menu. Current sysnand is 4.5, emunand 11.0, using an O3DS btw

I updated directly from emunand while i was on rxtools 2.6
