What is this?

This is the source for a POC game downloader for the app, MaiDump. In it's current state, it's to be used and compiled with LPP.

WARNING: THIS CODE WILL NOT WORK JUST AS IT IS. THE VITAL OF THE APP WERE REMOVED. COMPILING AND RUNNING THE APP IN ITS CURRENT STATE WONT WONDROUSLY GIVE YOU ACCESS TO DUMPS!!!

I only ask of you one thing. If you use this, don't change the tool's name or any of its graphics. You're free to do whatever you want other than that.

This is working source code.

It's 99.9% done. (I made it proof can be provided) In sure the community can figure out that last bit of information needed. I apologize that you can't leech this and start downloading games yet

I don't exactly understand this, i do however find it interesting that while the psp and 3ds needs cfw to run backups, that psvita use of the henkaku which i thought is to just be a homebrew enabler, runs backups with plugins? So is this like using homebrew to turn vita games into homebrew format to work with henkaku? This all hurts my head.

If hurts your head because you're overthinking it.
HENkaku is a homebrew enabler in the sense that it allows the vita to run unsigned eboots/code.
Dumped games are simply decrypted, and unsigned, allowing them to be played on HENkaku.
It's not that they're made specifically for HENkaku.

How does this even work? I mean dumped games are uploaded to all sorts of sites. Unless this access and downloads games from the PSN a-la freeShop, I am quite curious. Has anyone confirmed that the app is safe?

Edit: Just saw that the download is source code that must be built. Interesting.

This thing is not mainstream enough for people to test, and I doubt it will ever be as mainstream as it needs to be.

Yeah, looking at the source code, it isn't finished; it is just the idea with some code. Silly me, I thought that this was finished. @Garblant I wouldn't call this a release really since its not only just source, but uncompleted as well. It is an interesting concept, but without a centralized, known MaiDump server or something, the app is essentially useless. Unless someone does all of that on their own or with a team, this is just unfinished concept code.
