The tool worked out well for me, but the volume of the music for me theme is pretty low on the 3ds. Is there any way I can give it a boost?

I'll add it to the to-do list ;)
Meanwhile you can use an external tool like Audacity to boost the volume.

When ever I try to convert brstm to bcstm the program crashes, please help!

And yes I am on Windows 7
I know, BRSTM2BCSTM crashes on some systems... and I can't figure out why :(

I was thinking about adding the BRSTM→BCSTM conversion function directly to the main program.
By the way, @froggestspirit could you release the source code of your program (or even only the algorithm), please? :)
It would really help a lot... (comparing the same song didn't help me...)

I've been trying to convert an mp3 to a brstm, but it says that the file was not converted.

Does the .mp3 needs to have something specific so it can convert?
Can't download from brawlcustommusic page because my AV says it has a trojan.

Also, I know its the wrong place to ask, but is there a tutorial of making custom sound effects to a custom theme?

If you're using the GNU/Linux version, make sure SoX is installed.
If the problem persists, try to convert it to .wav or .flac.

If you're using avast, make an exception for it in the settings. Also disable web shield in the Chrome extension if you have it when you visit that website.

I hope this function gets added soon, I'm such a noob at Audacity...
In the meantime, you can use Brawlbox to convert the BRSTM file to .WAV. Then edit it with Audacity e.g., save it and convert it back to BRSTM/BCSTM.

You can't be a noob at Audacity. Simply amplify the sound with 2-3db higher.

Before adding any functionality, I'd like to finish porting BRSTM2BCSTM, but I don't understand how to swap the endianness...
Anyway, it's easy: import your file in Audacity, then use this slider to add some gain:

Finally, export it as FLAC or WAV and convert it using BRSTM/BCSTM Conversion Tool ;)

Would the quality of a song go down if it's at 2500 precision and on loop from a 106mb file?
