Let's see again in few years when both devices has some games on them and they are bit cheaper and/or new model. In the meanwhile Wii U may become worthwhile to get

I somehow missed all news on everything to do with it.

On the other hand the actual console launch and games that come with it have never been a great reason for me to get excited as far as having new interesting games to play from it, give or take things that took years to come over which is hardly the default case for over a decade now. I will have to scan a list of the first year things as well but it might be the case that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 was probably the only game with any longevity for me (I liked Tetris but I swap out the versions every so often and Super Mario World I do not think I have really ever played).

Clearly not, seeing that another console with a very small list of launch titles sold 10x more systems in one day than the Wii U did in a week.

Perhaps customers aren't that dumb and don't want to stay far behind the times?

it actually amazing how sony could put 10GB RAM (8GB GDDR5 & 2GB DDR3 single chip)
I can see why it's becoming more appealing to have at least a unit because you don't have to worried about upgrading in long term (if the unit last long enough)
with $400 price tag it is a good deal.

It's 8 Gigabyte GDDR5 and 2 Gigabit (256 Megabyte) DDR3, the second chip is suspected to be dedicated solely for background processing.

Poor gaemz at launch, so it's a no for me. Not talking about tech problems.
There isn't much enthousiasm for this gen : PS3 graphics looked awesome, very realistic in comparison with PS2. PS4 ones look just "a little better" than PS3...
