A save editor for Mario Maker would be nice.

This probably exists and my google-fu sucks but something entirely 3ds side that looks into the rbgy virtual console saves and sets the ot and id of any mew it finds to GF and 22796 would be nice. Glitch mews then become legit and poketransferrable.

Maybe an all purpose 3ds only save editor isn't much harder if you can repurpose the code of an existing project but hell if i know I what I'm talking about. It'd just be nice to have something that doesn't make you have to go through the process of installing a sav extractor, extracting it, taking your sd out of the cart to edit it pc side, then doing everything backwards. (why hells yeah im lazy)

I was thinking of porting Twitch to the 3DS. I don't know if it's even possible to even port everything Twitch offers to the 3DS, but that's an idea I have in mind.

I have a few ideas/requests. First of all, I highly doubt this but would it be possible for a hack to play music in the background while you play games? Second, a SoundCloud or Spotify app would be cool. Finally, not sure if this would work but maybe a video editor for 3DS?

I am SHOCKED to see NO ONE request this: Change 3ds music! Change everything from the default themes song to the song that plays in Mii maker. There might two components, a PC version to put the songs in + a 3ds/3dsx/cia version to apply said music to actual hardware

I'm really surprised that with all the growth the 3ds scene has seen over the last three years and even now that we're reaching the end of the consoles life cicle we still don't have a homebrew alternative to the 3ds's garbage browser. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but if not I'd like to see someone giving us a better browser with the ability to download and save files directly from it on our 3ds.

I'll second the request for a better MPO Viewer (currently listed under Media Players). Currently you can load and view .MPO files using the built-in 3DS Camera app or the browser.

In order to use the camera app, you have to put your MPOs in the same directory as your other 3DS photos (DCIM) and follow the same naming format. They get mixed in with your photos and the only way to sort them is by date. I would love to be able to simply throw MPOs in my own directory structure and be able to organize them however I'd like.

The browser will load MPO files, but I would like something where I could just keep a bunch of 3D photos on my sd card and not need wifi to access them.

I hope that maybe something like this would be easy to add to one of the existing File Browsers, like ORGANIZ3D or maybe even FBI.

What are the limitations of porting games to the 3DS? How can we tell if the 3DS would be powerful enough for those games, if we could port them?
I have a few Zelda fan games in mind, 2D ALttP-style, that were made in C++, with full source code available, and am wondering if porting these to the 3DS would be a possibility.

If the Homebrew Launcher cannot handle these as .3dsx homebrew, then maybe it'd be possible to get them running properly as .cia homebrew installed to emunand? Or if they can't run well on O3DS, then at least maybe the N3DS could handle it.

If anyone is interested, this is one of them (likely to be the most resource-intensive one.)

Website all in French, but the game has options for several languages including English. Source code for the game engine and for the game data are at the bottom of the page.
If we can have the game engine running on 3DS, it might even be possible for people to make their own games to run on the engine. As of right now I know of 4 games that run on that engine (two are in-progress AFAIK), so it might be fun if we were able to get it working. There is a quest editor which could possibly be used as some kind of Zelda Maker maybe? For people to make their own games to run on the engine. Game files would still have to be compiled specifically for the 3DS but the main engine would already be done.

I'm not nearly knowledgeable enough in C++ let alone 3DS programming to achieve this, but if this is something that could be done and someone is interested, I think it would be amazing.



There is also Return of the Hylian, Oni-Link Begins, Time to Triumph and Navi's Quest, all made in C++ with SDL by the same person. Those have all been ported to the PSP already as well, so I wonder if 3DS ports would be possible.
The English translations are... not very good, but that should be easily fixable.

Yeah I would also love to see the Solarus engine running on the 3DS, I am pretty sure the N3DS can handle it perfectly, at least for Mystery of Solarus and Book of Mudora, other projects like Eternal Struggle might not run good but that's just hypothesis, it runs very well on low spec pcs and it even runs perfectly on wii.

There is a growing community for the Solarus Engine, perhaps someone should give a try to port in on the 3DS ?

What about an installable .cia , which is an Cia-explorer and looks like a normal Flashcard, so that we have a better GUI because it gets confusing with tons of CIAs in the homemenu with just the icon and no Titles.
