Gaming possible to play "vannilla "zelda botw?

i have a fully updated switch etc. with zelda ofcourse

after finishing it 2 times i wanna have some fun with glitches. but those are all in previous versions, like on the day 1 patch.

is there a way to start a new game on the vannilla game without the current update patch??

No, once the Switch downloads an update, it is required to launch the game.

Once an update is the downloaded, that application cant run without it.

Well if you have a Wii U, hack it out (if it isn't already), get and install yourself a free copy of the game (you already own it on Switch after all) and don't install the updates when it prompts you when you launch the game.

Pretty sure it will still require the update to play on that system.
We'll probably need some homebrew tool to make the system forget an update after it's been deleted.

I did it once. It is like you are using the cart for first time. Just click on start software when it asks you for the update

Surely you can delete all data for the game. Take Switch offline and play the release version of the game from cart?

You can't, believe me. No update deletes and/or factory resets will help.

Once the switch hacks / cfw are public you can delete those updates. Maybe you even can on a 3.0.0 (which you don't have). For now, you sadly can't unless you have a second switch

Also terrible for speed running btw.

It doesn't. It's Ninty's online infrastructure for them.

If you select “Archive software” it will delete de updates and keep the saves. Then, insert the cartdige. I remember doing that just for the récord xD

Yep, and it will prompt you to redownload the update the moment you try to launch the game.

I don't think it will delete the update "requirement" thou. Meaning once you try to start it, you will need to update, no?

Yes, it will ask for the update. But there is a option that says “Start the software” and it will start without updating.
