PlayStation Plus membership cost to go up in Europe/Australia
The price for PS+ in NA went up a while back. It was only inevitable that the PAL regions would follow suit sooner or later.
Naw. They have and make MUCH MORE than enough. They're doing this just to do this. Just like why they made online cost money in the first place. "Microsoft does, Sony thinks they can too."Sony keeps on making shit movies and decisions then it raises its products' prices to make up for it. Also, the customers are to be blamed for the price increases as they keep on paying.
At this rate Sony will bump it up in a few years more.

That's the best defence ppl have for Nintendo's upcoming paid online service.
"Free" shit games, too. GG, Sony.Pay 60 Euro to get "free" games. Makes sense. :-)
Now that I think seriously about it, Brexit is probably why the price has increased.Naw. They have and make MUCH MORE than enough. They're doing this just to do this. Just like why they made online cost money in the first place. "Microsoft does, Sony thinks they can too."

Is better than charging the same price as a standard game for playstation plus, then getting games that are probably no where near as good, and only can be played as long as you have playstation plus active. That's the best defence ppl have for Nintendo's upcoming paid online service.
Naw it's just because they can get away with it now. GreedNow that I think seriously about it, Brexit is probably why the price has increased.
You're telling me it's not because of Brexit? They lied to me.Naw it's just because they can get away with it now. Greed
Are PS+ sales even a thing in Europe? I've seen people mention it happens pretty frequently in the US, but I don't recall ever really seeing that here.Theres only a tax charge if you buy the cards from physical retailers. Subscribing via Sony is tax free, or buying cards off of eBay as well.
As to the price raise, PSN cards go on sale so often it makes 0 difference. I haven't paid full price for 1 year PS+ cards in like 3 years, so meh.
EDIT: It also depends on the state, each one has a different sales tax number. Here in MI it's only 6%, some states it's 0.
Until they raise the price even more so later on, on something that should be free in the first place. That's the best defence ppl have for Nintendo's upcoming paid online service.
It's not Sony that does the sale, it's various retailers. Ebay usually has them on sale every other week, I usually get 1 year for $45 vs the $60 MSRP.Are PS+ sales even a thing in Europe? This just makes me hope more that FighterZ comes out on the Switch so I can play online for free and then when it becomes paid in 2018 I won't bother. Well, unless it's really worth it which I doubt. This is why I stopped playing PlayStation and Xbox. The paying for online. I would not care if no one could get my fucking ip.
If server costs are a problem, why not publicly release source code to the servers and add a custom server option to the games?Unfortunately, maintaining servers isn't free. Those who believe we shouldn't pay for online services are wrong. The last thing I want to see rise up, is a Free To Play online service. We all know the absolute crap fest that F2P brings. We don't need that.
