I did a quick check to make sure i wasnt being stupid, but yeah, it indeed has antioxidants. The problem is that drinking more than 1 cup per day is what kills you.Caffeine is a stimulant and a vasoconstrictor, used in pain relief as an agent, you're thinking of dark chocolate lol. Too much caffeine can cause mild cardiac arrhythmia in high doses over a long period of time.

that's the thing, we need to be responsible with the quantity of what we eat or drink. Drinking too much water can kill you too, funny, isn't it?Eh, plenty of other sources for antioxidants, people can still develop a tolerance and dependence on it; my sister used to be quite dependent on caffeine, she stopped cold turkey before getting pregnant and it was hard, kept getting muscular twitches and the like.
Same with her husband, used to consume two or so "energy" drinks per day, it was hard but he's doing fine. Chocolate may have caffeine, but it's the theobromine (the alkaloid similar to caffeine) that we get hooked to, and the sugar. Sugar is also addictive, but I digress I'll be careful with any kind of potentially addictive substance like caffeine XD It is useful for pain relief however.
