My settings are as simple as that so I dont know whats wrong for some:

The PAL version worked fine on r214. But on r215 where you made the McEmu change, the game black screens. The NTSC version works fine on the current version but I want to experience the better gameplay on the PAL version.

Any chance you change the McEmu settings back to what they were and send me a recompiled version to test? If the only changes in r215 were McEmu related, it is causing the issue with the game. I even tested r216, r217, r218, and r219 with the same results.

Oh damn I forgot to mention that the issue with RE Zero (dial door freezing) is present in the latest version 2.220

Wii U (vWii)
NTSC iso dumped with CleanRip (1:1)
Memory Card Multi with 1019 blocks.
Only setting activated is MC Emu ON.

I heard you can fix it by turning on native controls.

This means there's a controller bug with the HID/emulated ports/bluetooth code causing the freeze. It might be linked to other midgame freezes too

Oh thanks for the heads up.
What are the other games with freezes? RE games too?

I tried the PAL, NTSC and JAP version of the game without any issues so no, I wont revert anything.
Whats the chance of Nintendont getting the boot animation from gamecube as the startup option instead of the text? i'd like to see the classic intro like that rather than loading text.

But anyways, I have Luigi's Mansion and its working perfectly on mine too, im using a Pal Wii and the version of luigi's mansion im using is both.

Too bad that won't help users on Wii U's or Wii's with no GameCube ports.

The classic boot animation will never be officially supported as it is copywrited material.

As for Luigi's Mansion it may very well be a Wii U issues with the McEmu changes.

Does anyone else have an NTSC Wii U and can test to see if Luigi's Mansion PAL works with McEmu on? It seems that there is no issue with PAL Wii's and Wii U's but I am using an NTSC Wii U.

New update:
-Fixed previous status messages disappearing if there is an error
-Fixed the menu info appearing one frame after the games/options
-251 blocks is now listed as recommended in the "Memcard Blocks" option
-Set the groundwork for a timeout if the drive doesn't respond. This doesn't work yet, and I can't finish it until I receive a drive that doesn't work (it's coming)
-Moved the options up 13 pixels for people who had the bottom cut off
-A few minor cleanups.

Waiting on best buy to open so I can pick up smash bros...dying for this adapter
If it doesn't work out of the box, hopefully Ninty will issue a Wii U patch for vWii functions to mount it as native GCN ports. A lot of popular Wii games use GCN controllers, after all. And who knows? Maybe they'll even work with GBAs, considering Ninty's Virtual Console plans.

Before all, THANK YOU GUYS! thank you very much for this awesome job! :D you're the best :3

I was wondering if there is any possibilities for gamepad support.. (meaning controlling the game with the gamepad)

FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT.

After some extensive testing and troubleshooting.

The gc-adapter works only under one condition.

YOU HAVE TO START SMASH BROS FIRST.

it seems somehow when smash bros starts it initiates the controllers otherwise they don't respond and HID TEST detects the adapter but not the controller.

So basically this is how it works.

1) start smash
2) return to menu
3) start vwii
4) HID test will work and detect the controller.

This works whether the adapter is connected to the front or back.

I didn't create a controller.ini yet but the button presses are recognized.

Btw even wiiu mode won't detect the controllers being connected if you don't start smash first.

So smash is doing the initiation and somehow staying active whether in wiiu or vwii mode.

Good news and bad news.

GOOD: is that once the device is initialized you can hot swap controllers.

I started HID TEST with only one wavebird.

Connected a second on the 2 port and it detected the buttons right away.

If you notice the pictures above with the offsets. The first half is port 1 and second half is port 2.

BAD: seems can only have 2 controllers.

When controllers plugged in Port 3 and 4 the button presses make the receiver light up but HID TEST doesn't have enough offsets to show the button presses. I'm guessing a small update to HID TEST will fix this.

Keep in mind all testing done one wavebirds as I don't have wired controllers.

If you start HID TEST without starting smash first this is what you'll get.

If smash was started first this is what you should see.

FIX94 Howard JoostinOnline

if you guys would like me to try some code updates with the GC Adapter, I'm happy to oblige.

Anything I can do to help, let me know.

Yeah that doesn't help since I am running on a Wii U.
So I either have the option to don't be able to finish RE Zero or enable Native controls and won't be able to move the characters at all.
LOL :P
So guys I just plugged my gc adapter on the front here's what I get.

My wavebirds don't respond but it seems the device is being detected as an HID.

keep in mind it's connected to the front ports.

Edit: funny thing.

I connected it to the back ports, light on receiver was still not lighting on when pushing button.

I did the required update from smash, tried the adapter and now it works.

Edit 2:

Reconnected it in the front ports, the adapter is detected but it doesn't recognize input controller.

Great!
Did you manage to get a proper controller.ini working with the GC Adapter?
Also... LOL at the reflection of you and the baby. :P
What a great player two you have :D
