the fuck? nintendo has officially jumped the shark
Next they are going to do the same with chips. Who doesn't eat chips while they play video games?
I need therapy after seeing this.
oh so the technology is small and inexpensive enough to be on cereal boxes, all this does is bring attention to the fact that amiibo figures are pointless and overpriced
btw what's with the meme regarding the bad taste of Nintendo switch cartridges, like since when do people put games in their mouth to taste them? o.O
How did this become a thing..
edit: It also means you can no longer buy Switch games used, unless you want something that someone put in their damn mouth.
edit: or their dog's mouth...
They're a little more expensive to make when they've got the actual figurine on top of the NFC tag, but yes, obviously Nintendo makes a profit on these. Pretty much all of mine I've got at under $10.
I don't know when people started tasting carts, but the meme is because they put a bitterant on Switch carts to keep young children from swallowing them (because they're so tiny).
Look we know that we didn't got an new Super Mario cereal for years, but how the hell would you add a function that allows you to connect the box into the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Right Stick/Pro Controller NFC touchpoint that makes the box act like an Amiibo?
An NFC sticker
It's actually very practical compared to making an entire figure. A lot of people who like amiibo are collecting them, so they either don't open them or they put them on a shelf somewhere. Having the NFC tags (like the sticker ones) allows things like amiibo cards giving people an easy and cheap way to use amiibo for the actual game bonuses. It can also reduce the amount of rare or limited edition amiibo because they can just print mass amounts of cards. It also allows for a much bigger selection compared to making a figure that you have to base on a popular character because the cards would be very cheap to manufacture so worrying about sales isn't as big of an issue.
Next up: Nintendo releases Mario inspired Ramen, with Amiio functionality for Mario Odyssey.
This needs to come to Canada
they certainly arent good anymore
Nintendo has got their A-Game going. A lot of kids will see this and ask for a switch for Christmas just to use that box. It's an excellent idea.
Hey kids, like sugar and videogames? Now you can put sugar on your videogames.
Ahhh brings back memories
I don't know why but I could imagine some kid asking Mario odyssey for their birthday and someone who doesn't know much about Mario buy this cereal box
Eh, Nintendo never did had good food anyways, they always sucks in terms of flavor and anything they touch for food, ended up tasting bad.
