I remember this episode, just forgot the part where he was printing burger
Manufacturing costs I'd guess
Because making Amiibo costs like $12 /s
I need ma cereal, raaaa
neat though, nice to know there will the hunt for sold out cereal everywhere with scalpers selling it on ebay
I highly doubt making an amiibo costs 12$
I saw some on amazon for that price, and i doubt they sell product without profit
True so this means I have to cut the amiibo emblem off of the box
Hence the /s
oh... didnt notice the /s
I just don't want to spend a lot of money to get them. I have two, one was part of a game, and the other was a gift.
This is genius. Nintendo loves money again. They are marketing towards the younger generation, because if they grow up with these games, they'll also buy them as adults.
It's why there's so many 20 and 30 year olds playing Pokémon.
Well that's what i read in other places. And next time calm down a bit
Pokemon Red/Blue was also a huge accomplishment at the time, and quality has been pretty consistent with the games. Tons of other franchises in the NES/SNES era that just never took off, despite being part of many childhoods.
It's not like this is the first time Nintendo has made something like that. There was Pokémon cereal and pasta in the late 90s and I think early 2000s. The Pokémon cereal was basically just lucky charms but with Pokémon shaped marshmallows. I think there was a Zelda cereal too.
And let's not forget those Mario gummies that were a thing a few years ago (if they aren't anymore).
The only difference here is there's an NFC chip somewhere in the box allowing it to work like an amiibo card.
I hope this releases in Australia!
All right. It's an okay idea, but putting marshmallows might not be the greatest idea ever. I prefer cereal with no sugar or close to it. Not that it'll ever come to stores in Norway anyway
Sad thing is i would go nuts trying to find them all.
HAS CAPITALISM GONE TOO FAR?
they should put real powerups in the box not just marshmallows
Somebody may have already said this tho, no idea. I never check the other pages
Obviously it's being marketed to, you know, kids. Not people who eat Fiber One for breakfast.
why wouldn't they just put a small plastic amibo toy inside the box instead
do they even put toys in cereal anymore? is anyone here even old enough to remember cereal box toy prizes
guess they probably did away with the practice ages ago because of "muh choking hazard" and "muh liability"
Those cereal taste switch cartridge
