I'm on 9.9 and just trying to get custom themes to work with ninjhax 2.0. So far, the background will replace, just no audio.

EDIT: Perhaps you mean to quote the other guy talking about downgrading?

I would try another theme, just to make sure the issue is with ninjhax and not the theme itself. Cause you said extdata tool couldn't install it either.

I woke up, installed this, now I did everything the same as old oninjhax using the extdata tool to get a theme installed (put bg.bcstm and body_LZ.bin in same folder) but it never succeeds replacing the audio, it's only changing the background of the theme. Anyone else getting this problem?

You must rename bg.bcstm to bgm.bcstm.

That was a typo, I am using bgm.bcstm, sorry about that. I will try another theme, though.

EDIT: Nope, other theme I just tried isn't working either. Extdata tool always has failure on the bgm part after the reading and writing of the file. CHMM always gets error 91.

So you had Pasta CFW before? If so, try original Sysnand restore, and install ninjhax 2.0. Pasta CFW may install something on your SYSNAnd that may not work with ninjhax 2.0. I try on a clean 9.5 N3DS and work flawless on first try.

Reminder: don't formart Sysnand with downgraded MSET on N3DS

Looks like pasta might have to go back to the drawing board to find a way to get this to work with ninjhax.

Pretty much finding a libkhax alternative and a few other things but shouldn't be EXTREMLEY hard if they are that determined.

That progress will depend on the team themselves. I'm expecting a couple more new posts asking the Noodle dev team to look into this. Unfortunaely I doubt smealum and team will assist in this.

I think I have something working with theme now...I tried a different sd card and redid the enable cache part (the second one, persistent) and after a couple attempts the theme actually installed with audio now using extdata tool. Not sure what I did that actually got it to work this time, maybe just trying over and over. I'll try the original sd card now too. Anyway, thanks, hope that helps someone.

EDIT: The trick to getting it to work, even with CHMM now, is to choose a basic theme out of the list of basic colors. Then install over that. Didn't used to have that problem before.
