I shouldn't read what you guys are posting!
I still haven't play the PS3 version, and I've being spoiled few times now :unsure:

I thought the "dying mother" written in bold wasn't that important because it might be the introduction of the game, but try not to tell the ending :P

You should buy a ps3 and play the ni no kuni game right now.
Then order a copy of the japanese.
And stop reading.

I already have a PS3 and already bought that game.
I tried the beginning, (up to ni no kuni elder tree), but I thought I'd better play DS version first seing the differences in both games.
I feel like DS is to be played first, then PS3 get additional information from the DS (like why the car is losing a wheel, etc.)

not at all they;re not related. To not play NNK is to deny yourself a jewel.

I'm not refusing to play it, I prefer playing the DS version first. I have already a lot of other games to play, so it's not a problem to wait for the translation. And there's no time limit to enjoy a game (I often play 20 years old games for the first time).

true enough. I played last year 2017, nnk on ps3 for the 2nd time through.
