Hardware New 3DS XL - Fuse?

The daughter board contains the power ic, main board has the charge ic, refer to the pics

Not sure,
But I've pointed you to two parts that is related to the 3ds' power issues.
Albeit, most probably the fuses are ok, but those parts aren't, probably due to bad board design making other parts break first due to power failure instead of the fuses itself

Do you know where I can find a replacement charge ic for the new 3ds xl? I made the same mistake of placing the battery backwards. I have replaced the daughterboard and it finally turns on but it doesn't charge even when the orange light comes on. Sometimes when I unplug the charger, the orange light stays on.

If you have a magnifier you cab try to read whats written on the smd, maybe we can find itnin alibaba if we have a proper part name

I found a similar chip on my old 3ds xl that says:

TI 281 <-------- I'm not sure if that was a 1.

So, do you think this would work if I could transfer this chip to my new 3ds xl?

I'm really not sure, the pinout maybe different and you could end up ruining the board more,

are you looking at this very part?

since the first chip's last character is a Letter

my CKP search seem to say that
CKP is related to "power smd's"

TI could be "TEXAS INSTRUMENTS" which is know for semiconductors

So, I've replaced the power board. Now, when I try to start the console, it shows the blue light for about 3 seconds, then shuts off with a short "pop" sound. Neither display lights up, and there's no difference when I use the charger as well (other than the charger light). How do I fault-check this?

Check your ribbons. They are not seated proper.

That means the power ribbon for the display is not secure. The same thing happened to me so I put duct tape over it to hold it into place.

So, I've tried reseating all the ribbons, and the problem seems to persist - though now the red light lights up before the "pop", instead of the blue one. I guess I may have broken either the cables or the connectors, though if so it's not immediately apparent?

Probably, take extra time when doing the top screen ribbon, that upside down one is truly a pain.
