Hacking [Need Help] DSiWare and TWLoader not working

Im currently on Luma 7.1, 11.1.0-34U, and trying to launch DSi titles or DS titles from TWLoader gives the black screen "An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER button etc. etc." message.

I've tried a TWL reinstall from EMUNAND -- i tried https://3ds.guide/troubleshooting (no luck) and then https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki/FAQ-and-troubleshooting (same thing). Is there something I'm doing wrong or some other guide i need to follow?

Install the dsiware on the sysnand and the emunand, and retry.

edit: using an emunand is outdated.

maybe it could be similar to my problem? but I only get a black screen
