Would you mind showing the next 2 numbers of the serial number of the 4027? I have access to a launch day 4027 (from Target-I believe)but was gonna make sure it got returned but now may have to take a gamble for the greater good.NA New Red 3DS XL here (not Canada) with 9.0.0-20U, with serial QW4027. Not sure if they are all on 9.0.0-20 or not, but there are definitely 9.0 consoles above QW4025.
Photos for proof.
Also got a new 3DS XL Black with QW1002 and 9.0.0-20U as well.
Related: how do I make sure I don't accidentally update? Should I format the microSD that came with it? Is it safe to play retail games and not have to worry about updates until Gateway releases the New 3DS XL support?
Please, post pictures. Also, try one or two more numbers of serial number since cut off May be in the 4027xx batch/series.Thank YouVersion Number: QW4027

They come with 9.0Anyone got a EUR n3DS (non XL)? What firmware does that come with?
I'm leaning more towards the regular n3DS so that I can use faceplates, but I don't want to risk getting 9.4.
But what if Nintendo forces updates in the future?Just don't configure a wifi connection and don't go to any Nintendo Zone locations. If you download the update then just do a system wipe since you probably don't have any relevant information on the system anyway. Retail carts are fine as long as you don't go online.
But what if Nintendo forces updates in the future?
This doesn't work with >4.x consoles. How can they force an update on a unit that has never contacted their servers? Just don't configure wifi and avoid Nintendo Zones.

Last post: If you don't have access to some kind of offline-exploit (e.g. Android Gateway 3DS loader), you need WiFi to access the Gateway-site.Confirmed working on my 9.2 system? DON'T CONFIGURE WIFI. This is not the thread for this conversation - Search other topics/threads and you will find this is the answer.
No, not yet. Soon you maybe able to use it. Just wait and don't update (!!!)I've bought a new 3ds xl metallic black from amazon.fr. it's fw 9.0.20. I ve not understood if now can i use a gateway or not?
