So 5 minutes ago, nintendo just released a trailer for this:

This is the new 2dsxl, the newest addition to the 3ds family. It likely supports a hardware revision that fixes sighax, and will almost definitely be bundled with 11.4. Just wanted to alert the general public.

I don't know what I was expecting when I googled "New 2DS XL". There's no images and it's not on Nintendo's website yet.

EDIT: This looks much sleeker than anything in the main 3DS design, so what got left out? I didn't see a wireless switch in the video. No wifi, perhaps?

That screen hinge doesn't look sturdy at all, and while a lot of people don't use the 3D functionality, you can probably find a N3DS/XL for around $170 already. Dunno if it's anyone wants to wait 3 months just to potentially save 20 bucks.
