Are they different manufacturers, or are they the exact same card (clocks and all) with just a RAM difference?

If you're going to be gaming at high native resolutions (1080 or higher), more RAM on the card will help; same if you're going to use mods with incredibly high res texture packs.

The 1 gig one has PCI express 3.0, while the 2 gig has PCI express 3.0 X16.

The 2 gig one has DirectX 11.1 as its 3d API, while the 1 gig has OpenGL4.2

I've had good experiences with ASUS cards in the past. I'm not too sure of their overclocking potential, but I'd definitely go with the 2GB version out of those two cards if the difference is only $20 or so.

At about $200 USD is a GTX 760, if you were interested in a performance jump. I figure I would mention it as it comes with an Assassin's Creed IV free game, which might offset the $50 difference for you (effectively paying around $150 for the card and $50 for the game) . You could also try and sell the code to make up the difference. I would like another member's or two's opinion on whether the jump is worth the cost for MinecraftJr948.
