Another thing that worries me about Canada is the weather. Here in Argentina it's template so it ain't too cold in winter, though it can get hot on summer. Is it really really cold in all parts of Canada? Which city would be the best place to live?

Coastal cities (Vancouver, Charlottetown, the like) range from around 5C to 25C. 5 is rarely achieved, but it could drop down to -10. Areas where Toronto get to be -10C to 30C. Calgary goes from -15C to 30C, and Winnipeg (Winterpeg, lol) goes from -35 to 35. Then you have the north which goes from -40 to 10.

I live in Winterpeg, though, so it's decent. Right now, we're hovering around a 5 degree high.
