Hacking Moving over saves from one flashcart to another

Hi!~

So basically, I bought the most godly recommended R4i GOLD RTS from nds-card.com okay, to replace my r4 gold pro 2015 edition. BUT, the saves i have on that, i thought it be possible to just drag and drop onto the new sd card in the flashcart, once booted it loads the games but as a fresh save.. Id like to continue using my saves from the other flashcart..

Is this possible to do? I dont want to lose data.. Its very precious to me

Try the "No$GBA" emulator on your PC and see if your saves load on that. Might help towards figuring out where the problem is. And also, try making a quick new save on the new R4 card and then see if that loads on the emulator as well. If both work, then try making a new save on the emulator and then using them on both flash carts.

Should be able to figure something out just from the process of elimination.

So make a safe ON said games, using the emulator then overwrite the saves on the new R4?

I'll give you an example of what I mean with a similar issue I once had with a GBA flash cart years ago.
My first cart was creating a save that was 64kb in size. The new 2nd cart wouldnt load it but I noticed the new cart was making 32kb saves. The emulator I had on my PC would also make 32kb saves that worked on the 2nd cart, but the emulator was also able to read the 64kb saves from the first cart. So it was just a case of loading the save on the emulator from the first cart, then whilst playing the game I would just save again, which basically converted the 64kb save into a 32kb, if you catch my drift.

But before you do that, what I originally meant was its worth testing the different saves on the emulator to see what works and what doesnt. And then take it from there.
