Hey it’s Owenge,
Minecraft is a game that I play when I’m bored so isn’t a huge problem but I want to know how to fix it. So I’m getting a max FPS of 50 on low everything (this wouldn’t be a problem for a low end system but my system has a Ryzen 7 1700 and rx580) so what could be wrong?

Answer: Minecraft is a thristy b***h. Blame Java along with the use of JVM AN INTERNAL SERVER (for a single player game, seriously WTF this serves no purpose) and shitty depricated code.
Install these mods:
https://optifine.net/downloads
https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/betterfps
https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/foamfix-for-minecraft
Only allocate more ram if needed (you'll know when you press F3 and check ram usage) otherwise it'll slow down the chunk loader. sp614x (developer of optifine) actually did a great explanation of why Minecraft runs so badly: https://www.minecraftforum.net/foru...t-dynamic-lights-shaders-and?page=1571#c43757
As for performance you'll expect, people with 9900K's and 2080 Ti's only hit 50FPS at 1440p with shaders and a 256x texture pack. As for me, I never was able to get it to run acceptably on my i5-6500 and 1060. You'll get worse performance though due to an AMD driver bug resulting in much lower OpenGL performance than Nvidia (https://community.amd.com/thread/206176) All in all, fuck Java, yo.
