Metroid Prime 4 is now in development. Dreams really do come true.

The new game will mark the first entry in the Prime series in a decade, as the original trilogy concluded with Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on the original Wii in 2007. The Prime subseries debuted on the GameCube in 2002, and was especially notable for successfully translating the iconic, moody exploration of the original Metroid games into a three-dimensional, first-person experience.

When I saw the Metroid logo I was screaming out of joy, but then the prime logo appeared.
Time to wait for another 10 years for a proper 2D Metroid game.

Well, another 2.5D Metroid game just got announced on the Treehouse.

After (the first time I played the legend of Zelda) I'm looking forward to see what path they are going to take with Metroid 4. I have played a little bit of the SNES Version of Metroid and liked it a lot until I got over the game. Hoping its going to reflect on Botw's gameplay and improve upon it to make an even better game.

It's a Metroid 2 remake when we already have AM2R.

This doesn't take AM2R away, why not have another remake? ANY more Metroid (well, almost) is good, and way more than I thought we would get.
