You can use either the updater or just download it straight from the site I linked.Ok, do I just go through lumaupdater for that? I've only started playing my 3ds this week so I'm not very familiar with all of this.

The latest Luma Nightly has fixed the reboot patches. So once you get everything installed and you are confirmed to using A9LH, you are safe to update.
Just make sure you are using the nightly build of Luma3DS

There was an issue caused by 11.4 that broke the reboot codes for all of the CFWs, but only effected the New3DS. It was a random side-effect of the update and not actually something Nintendo did on purpose. But still, it basically made it so GBA/DSi games couldn't launch on the new3DS. This issue has been fixed several nightlies ago.whta ia the reboot issues that need fixing (i have stable luma 6.6/a11 on 11.4 and everything seem to work finother then homebrew) just dont know what the reboot issue is, wouldnt like to know before updating to nightly, as i always perfer stable things
You can boot the system just fine, only those patches were effect and only with the new3DS. But that doesn't break the CFW from launching.okay thank you !!
(so you could still boot up the 3ds, and just use luma updater if didnt update to nightly before updating to 11.4)
I forgot to mention in this post that I did make sure to test out every Pokemon hack with a HANS version available and MK7 CTGP-7. They all worked just fine with the soon currently in testing version of Luma3DS that this post was in reply to.*snip
The download is broken for it and probably all the versions before 6.6Strange.
Alright, first, try redownloading Luma 6.3.1 from github. Maybe something got screwed up.
Next, go to the troubleshooting part of the guide: https://3ds.guide/troubleshooting
And go down to the part that says, "Black screen on SysNAND boot after installing arm9loaderhax."
(You do have sysNAND, right?)
If you follow all of those steps and nothing happens... yeah, I have no idea.
The download is broken for it and probably all the versions before 6.6
Well, you have a few options:
1) Grab the latest stable version, and proceed with the troubleshooting guide.
2) Figure out how to compile the 6.3.1 commit from github manually, and proceed with the troubleshooting guide.
3) Continue to be helpless, chirping like a hatchling and hoping for someone to come along and regurgitate a pre-digested solution into your mouth without having to do any legwork yourself.
It's your 3DS. Choose.
It won't let me boot into recovery mode but the wifi light turns on which didn't happen when I booted normally before.
Well the guide said try the 9.2.0 ctr transfer cause nothing else worked. Im doing it now. But I've never used gateway or emunand, only a ds flashcard which I don't think has anything to do with it. I tried everything else but nothing is working so far
Take a look at this issue I posted on github. Apparently it's a problem involving how the monster hunter games are programmed and how LayeredFS is implemented.--snip--
It shouldn't crash if nothing is in the romfs. I tested all of the Monster Hunter games and I was only able to get a crash when I had files in the romfs folder.@Aurora Wright Using the latest commit (93c8c908) I get a prefect abort during the Nintendo 3DS logo when the game is starting up. Trying Monster Hunter Generations on a USA N3DSXL and even with just an empty romfs folder it aborts.
Edit: They are svcBreak errors. And I get them with MHXX too but not with MH4U.
YAY UPDATES!
Thanks! Some really nice changes there.
