correct. look in the Plailect guide it links to a ver that worksdoes the new 6.0.1 version doenst need the firmware.bin file when using ntr cfw 11.0?
decrypt9other than hourglass9 and emunand9, are there any other payloads i should set up for a9lh/luma?
if thats why u dont have some you should ditch uncart as decrypt9 has cart dumping nowI just have Decrypt9, Safemode9 and Uncart. My understanding is that Hourglass9's featureset overlaps with Decrypt9 anyway, and Emunand9 isn't particularly useful if you don't intend to use an EmuNAND anyway.
Decrypt9 dumps game cards encrypted + decrypted ".3ds", and to decrypted CIA. it replaces uncart entirely.Uncart is now unnecessary? To be honest I don't even use it as I mainly use my 3DS for homebrew, I just like to have it for 'completeness'.
When I updated using luma3ds updater application from 5.5 to 6.0.1 the updater only shows "red " as the installed version instead of 6.0.1 is this normal?
Thank God I backed up my sd card before messing around with the update what I will do is restore my payload back to 5.5 and install starupdater and will try to update it from there. Thanks for the reply.LumaUpdate is doing something weird then and it definitely is not normal, as starupdater doesn't have this issue.
install a secondary exploit (menuhax?) and use sysDowngrader from there.using hbl via browser
But this is the problem, when I try to start menu hax using D-PAD DOWN (as in the new guide) nothing happen during the bootinstall a secondary exploit (menuhax?) and use sysDowngrader from there.
you need to install it and configure that. the default is holding L.But this is the problem, when I try to start menu hax using D-PAD DOWN (as in the new guide) nothing happen during the boot
thats because star is the bestLumaUpdate is doing something weird then and it definitely is not normal, as starupdater doesn't have this issue.
Because of the arm9loaderhax.bin file you are using, You replaced the luma file with the anim9 file to load animations. So when the updater tries to read that file it doesn't detect luma, it won't tell you the version you have installed. The updater checks that specific file and replaces it with a updated version if you press install.
You have to manually move the luma CFW file to the anim folder and replace it with "Arm9payload.bin" by renaming the updated luma file.
The bootanim9 loads before loading luma.
If you want less trouble with this, you can Replace the file from luma in the root of the sd card, then put the file from bootanim9 in the luma payload and then set it up like the other files (Example decrypt9 requires X button on boot to load) So then luma updater won't interfere with the bootanim9 at all, but you need to remember to hold the button to trigger the boot animation
