You have to do it manually.Hmm, I can't seem to find the answer to this.
Does Aureinand patch twl_firm (to allow things like the slot1 launcher) or do I have to do it manually?

You have to do it manually.
I don't think you did libctru the right way.
Delete whatever you pasted, Get a clean ctrulib again, go inside libctru, and type "make install" ..
As for makerom.exe, where did you put it? I put it devkitarm/bin .. if you don't have it there, do so and let us know how it went
mingw has nothing to do with this. It was only to compile makerom.exe .. But since you have it, it's not required for anything.I did it and still got the same error. I even started again from scartch(and downloaded armits, bin2c etc) and still get the same error.
I haven't installed mingw-w64 yet. I run Windows 10 x86 (32-bit). I'm installing atm mingw-w64 as I type.
Edit: I installed mingw-w64 on my x86 PC and it didn't help(I don't know if I need it, just saw people talking about it and installed it). Still the same error.
https://github.com/AuroraWright/AuReiNand/releasesSo if I read this correctly..
This means it has the ability to do this, but currently does not do so. Would be kinda cool to enable it.
- Integrated 3ds_injector from @yifanlu. This brings us region free and all the other FreeMultiPatcher patches. Other than that, you now have the possibility to display the currently booted NAND/FIRM in System Settings!
Look here and at the following pages for some information on an updater. Last time it was talked about, @ihaveamac was taking a look at it. The updater itself could never be integrated into AuReiNAND itself since it launches from A9LH, which doesn't have internet access. However, a standalone homebrew updater could exist in the future.@Aurora Wright any chance you'll ever make an on device updater for AuReiNand?
Well here is your problem. That's libctru source, not compiled.makerom.exe was pasted inside C:\Nintendo3DS\PROGRAMS\devkitPro\devkitARM\bin
C:\Nintendo3DS\PROGRAMS\devkitPro\libctru :
PATH:
I thought it was for all versions though? It is a setting you enable in the AuReiNAND settings (by holding start on the system boot). I know when I boot into sysNAND it puts a little "Sys" in front of my firmware version, and likewise with emuNAND.Ah, nvm, nand version is only for emunand not updated sysnand mode, makes sense.
Oh, I did notice that, I guess thats what it does lol.I thought it was for all versions though? It is a setting you enable in the AuReiNAND settings (by holding start on the system boot). Well here is your problem. That's libctru source, not compiled.
Again, delete this whole libctru folder, go somewhere else, download ctrulib, then cd to libctru, and type "make install" not "make"
The makerom.exe should be fine
yeah so now this worked. But I compiled ctrulib from here: https://github.com/smealum/ctrulib
Then I went inside \ctrulib\libctru\ and typed "make install". It gave me this:
Still cannot compile.
This error(I deleted the sources and re-synced):yeah so now this worked.
Same error message when compiling Aureinand? or something different?
