Hacking is the ps3 backwards compatible with kmeaw cfw

i want to play my old psx and ps2 games because i had some great games but i wanna play the back ups. is there a homebrew or different cfw that will let me play it on the ps3 hdd btw im on kmeaw 3.55

psx games are backwards compatible from disc, ps2 games are not unless you have a really old ps3
