Hey guys,

I recently have been thinking of getting a PSP 1000 pre-owned (for around £70 or so) but I have a few questions -
How risky is it hacking / softmodding a PSP 1000?
Can I hack it no matter what the firmware is as long as it is a PSP 1000?
I have seen adapters such as "SDHC to Pro Duo Adapter" for PSP memory and such, would these cards still load ISO's and backups etc. ?
How easy is it to recover from a brick?
Is there a huge difference between teh 1000 and 2000?
Whats the online play for PSP like?

Thanks in advance

Not at all.

Yes.

Yes.

Buy a TOOL battery.
That way, if you brick it, you can always fix it.

Is there a huge difference between teh 1000 and 2000?

Yes. Price. Also size and screen quality.

Whats the online play for PSP like?

Dunno.

Ah, so I won't have to worry about getting a certain memory card? Any one that fits into the PSP will do?

& is it worth getting a 2000 you think or should I just get the 1000? Is the price difference really worth it?

How risky is it hacking / softmodding a PSP 1000? Not risky at all if you have a Pandora Battery in case something goes wrong
Can I hack it no matter what the firmware is as long as it is a PSP 1000? Yup. Assuming you'll have a pandora
I have seen adapters such as "SDHC to Pro Duo Adapter" for PSP memory and such, would these cards still load ISO's and backups etc. ? I would think so
How easy is it to recover from a brick? Easy as pie
Is there a huge difference between teh 1000 and 2000? I've owned both. I can say I prefer the 2000 better (some people will disagree with me here with saying (what they always say) that the PSP 2000 feels like a toy)
Whats the online play for PSP like? What games are you thinking about?

Oh and also, where would you recommend I buy a "Pandora's Battery" for a PSP phat from? Are PSP "tool battery's" and "pandora's" battery's the same?

I love my 2000. 1000 looks too bulky in my opinion.

2000 may cost approx $100-$150 more than 1000.

It's up to you.

To answer your online play question, it's dead.
The only game where you can find a game is Phantasy Star Portable 2, but that will probably die soon.

Yup.

If the 8GB you get is official, you won't need to 512MB memory card.
(When you get your PSP, just press triangle on the memory stick icon and information. If it says unknown it's a fake (but it'll still work for games))
