title to article is misleading, those are for the n3ds/n3dsxl. I almost didn't catch it had it not been for the images.
I see what you mean. On the company website though they might have some for the original 3ds/xl models, they just aren't advertised. Mainly posted it because of the OP saying he has a new nintendo 3ds xl.

I'd like to run snes, gba and perhaps Genesis games if possible. Is there any great incentive in getting a ds two plus for emulation?

I've had a DSTwo for a couple years now and it runs most snes & gba games pretty well...there is some lag, particularly on some SNES games, but I'd say the emulation is 90% or better as far as speed goes. The DSTwo+ has more onboard memory and a better cpu, so it runs the emulations better (in my experience). the DSTwo is totally playable. if you can find a the Plus unit for ~$40, I'd go that route, otherise, the regular DSTwo will suit all your needs.

thank you for relaying your experience with emulation on dstwo! Do you know of a good site based in North America to purchase from?

I recommend R4i Gold if you want to store the cart in the 3DS while in sleep mode or while on and playing other games. It is also cheap

I recommend a DSTWO if you want the added benefit on in-game cheat menu (vs enabling them in the launcher) and save-states. I think the R4i gold may do save-states also but I have never used that feature myself.
this cart drains battery anytime it is in the cart slot with the console on or in sleep mode even if you are not using it.

The R4i Gold's RTS menu is horrible and could use some cleaning. It also doesn't work with all games.

I have come across no incompatible games (I use US/NA region games only) so far. there may be some obscure games that do not work but I do not know what they may be.
Thanks mate and are you using wood? Can I switch to wood without a DS lite?

you can switch to wood without a DS Lite. it is not a firmware update, it is more of a shell so you copy it to the MicroSD card of the R4i Gold.
Great, do you use wood or the or the official and why? And one last thing, does the time bomb aplly to this card?

I've personally ordered from DWTechz and ModChipsDirect. Both were pretty solid vendors for me. ModChipsDirect has warehouses in the states, so their shipping is super fast! ^_^ (well, if you're in the states. :P )

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

I want a 120hz 4k tv but crazy how more expensive the 120hz over the 60hz are. Or even more crazy is the price of 8k's.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
No real point since movies are 30fps
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Not a big movie buff, more of a gamer tbh. And Series X is 120hz 8k ready, but yea only 120hz 4k games out right now, but thinking of in the future.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Mostly why you never see TV manufacturers going post 60hz
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I only watch tv when i goto bed, it puts me to sleep, and I have a nas drive filled w my fav shows so i can watch them in order, commercial free. I usually watch Married w Children, or South Park
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I had to find and get him an old style flip phone even without text, cause thats what he wanted. No text, no internet, only phone calls. Old, old school.
