Hi folks, so.... ive been out of the loop recently and would appreciate your help as id like to update my wiiu status.

currently i have 5.3.2 black wiiu which as far as i remember i spoofed to a higher fw... not sure which one... 5.1.1 maybe

I have the SD card and games set up for and currently use loadine... have to use wjdd.rl because wiiubru.net no longer works.

I have no dns/update protection as 1) dnshax doesn't work any more and 2) my router doesn't let me block addresses.

My current process is to go to the web address, load an exploit (hope that race attack doesn't fail) then reenter the same website and load the homebru launcher, from there i select and load into loadine gx2.

my question i suppose, is im wondering what is the best way to simplify this method without bricking my wiiu, (i haven't modded the vwii yet but would eventually like to do that later down the road) i stumbled about and found hitchaxi but have no method or desire to purchase an eshop title im led to believe something called mocha might be the answer, so on that ... can someone please tell me how do i install this, (if its the right way to go) what happens when i use it? ie do i just turn up the wiiu and loadine is there as a channel?

WHATS THE BEST THING TO DO!!??

thanks for any help

You won't be able to use anything until you update to 5.5.1, because AFAIK, all the memory stuff is hardcoded in all the CFW and patches to 5.5.1 values. You need to update no matter what you do.

Update to 5.5.1, loading the HBL is easier there anyways
Use WUPinstaller to install games to the system menu, faster than LOADIINE
Download games with https://gbatemp.net/threads/a-simple-gui-for-funkiiu-funkii-ui.446853/

Loadiine is a bit of an older method. Most people don't use it anymore. Right now the most popular method to play games is "the brazilian method" (I hate that name). After you update to 5.5.1 follow these steps

1. Purchase one of the supported DS games and set up haxchi. With HaxChi you can quickly boot CFW and/or HBL. No need for Web browser anymore.

2. Use haxchi to boot to a sigpatched sysnand. This will launch a CFW that will allow you to play any game that you can get from NUS (use Wii U Helper). Also you can play online with these games and also load DLC.

3. I don't see a reason for you to use mocha or rednand. Stick with haxchi CFW sigpatched sysNAND.

4. Use Wii U Helper (windows app for your PC) and download a game and/or updates along with it.

5. Transfer you downloaded game over to the "install" on your SD card.

6. Load up HBL using haxchi.

7. Use WUP installer to install the game you put in the "install" folder on your SD.

8. Create a savegame for the newly installed game by playing it once.

9. Dump this new savegame using saviine. You aren't going to use these files but by dumping you'll get the correct directory structure.

10. Delete the save files but not the save folders. Replace the files with your save from loadiine.

11. Move the dumped save game over to the inject folder on your pc (keeping the folder name the same as it was when it was dumped)

12. Use saviine to inject your loadiine save into your new game

*once you have booted to system menu with haxchi you are using Sigpatched sysNAND CFW. You can now install the HBL channel with WUP installer*

Me too, considering what the term "getting a Brazilian" means.
When I was younger my sisters pinned me down and forced me to get a Brazilian. That's when we discovered that chest hair doesn't come out; it just bleeds.

It's like $8 or so. A small price to pay for an easy and well supported hack.

Mocha CFW is just fine. The only benefit of buying a DS VC game is that you don't need the internet browser to run CFW anymore, and you can program CFW to run at boot. Otherwise, you are right that Mocha CFW is the same.

1. Use online page and Web browser to load HBL.
2. Boot mocha from HBL.
3. Follow the steps above from 4. on

Loadiine has tons of game compatibility issues, lacks online play, is limited by how many games you can fit on an SD card, and has long loading times due to limited SD card read speeds. The Brazilian method is highly recommended.

So here's the steps you do now. (According to your first post)

1. Load up browser.
2. Launch HBL.
3. Launch loadiine
4. Select game
5. Launch game

Here are the steps after everything is installed (would be less steps if you paid 8 bucks for a DS game and setup haxchi)

1. Load up browser
2. Launch HBL
3. Launch Mocha
4. Click game and play

So actually there is one less step. Plus you can now play online and play dlc. The saviine stuff was just because you asked about transferring saves from loadiine. It's a one time procedure.

Just for fun let me show you my steps because I use CBHC and Haxchi

1. Turn on Wii U.
2. Click my game (which is loaded on USB)

done.
I'm playing from USB (not tiny SD) and I can play online

For most games, Steps 1-3 won't be needed. CFW is only needed for eShop-only games, vWii games, Virtual Console games, and games with pirated DLC. In other words, for most games after they're installed, this is the only step:

1. Click game and play

I have no dns/update protection as 1) dnshax doesn't work any more and 2) my router doesn't let me block addresses.
Use this to block updates.

This is true. I didn't say my setup was "needed" or recommended. It's what I use. I also like having a HBL channel which you will need a CFW or rednand for.

Yea you right there, fallout 76 was a letdown, but it not that bad now, they have fixed slot of issues they had at launch. Biggest issue with Fallout 76 is its a pay to advance further type of game, which sucks
