I find my fw.img in youtube (tutorial for haxchi)
First, N E V E R trust youtube tutorials, they are outdated and poorly researched. Second, if you dont know how to compile your own fw.img, then maybe you shouldnt be using this. Anyways, go to https://github.com/dimok789/iosuhax , clone/download as zip, run the .py scripts, and run make cfw-coldboot.

Shift-right click in the folder, open command window here, type "python anpack.py" without quotes.

Guys I am seeing some very ugly questions in this thread! Please please do not attempt this unless you know 110% what you are doing else you will be very disapointed with your outcome! I'm not being hypothetical, I am being quite serious and I am definitely not trying to boost my own ego with this answer. I still think the op should have a warning about doing all this!

sigpatcher2sysmenu isn't compatible with coldboothax
Use either cfw-coldboot branch of iosuhax or rednand
Hey everyone,

I've written something new. It's a full featured iosuhax cfw like thing with wupserver, /dev/iosuhax node, all the signature check patches and a full os reload which makes it a clean firmware again. The difference is, it does not require any fw.img on your SD card or else where. All the nice stuff is inside the ELF file and I can perfectly share it with everyone. The custom firmware is equal to the "make cfw" build on my iosuhax fork regarding the features. It even reloads itself like iosuhax when you enter settings and leave them again from memory (ELF file is only required on first launch). You are not loosing the patches or anything.

So here are some PoC builds that you guys can try out (and maybe report if you find something out of ordinary):
version with splash screen:
http://www99.zippyshare.com/v/Gr7qDsDA/file.html

version with splash for coldbooter:
http://www84.zippyshare.com/v/rWrDiPTf/file.html

and a small version without splash to show how small it can be (90% of the size is the splash screen):
http://www43.zippyshare.com/v/Q0pDbp60/file.html

I will also make a redNAND version later but its not done yet.

I am thinking of giving this thing a new name as it is not very alike to iosuhax as it was before. It is quite different. Though parts of iosuhax are also big part of it, like the wupserver. So I think it should be a name that reminds one of iosuhax or parts of it. We though of many funny names with @dibas, @Maschell, @Cyan and @pwsincd (like iosuramhax, yail (yet another iosuhax loader) or even NaCl) but nothing that we all agreed on. If you think of something nice, let me know.

Sources and stuff will come later. I need to clean it up a bit more and make it more dev friendly :P.

I have updated the installer, now whatever thing you might try to fuck up your Wii U, by providing stupid config.txt and the likes, you will always be able to run a special elf file located in sd:/recovery.elf. To run this elf just push L + R + dpad_down + A when Haxchi boots.

Happy unbricking!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I've had it installed for a while now, i'm just asking.
Just to let you know, you can now reinstall haxchi and coldboothax over a previous installation.
