Well, what would happen if you boot an extended memory game, let's say Super Mario Maker, press Home to go to the Home Menu (But don't close the game) and start another extended memory game? (Smash).
If it doesn't reboot the extended memory mode, then NTR can get support for extended memory games aswell!

An old 3DS only NTR sounds funny lol, but so true in this case XD
ntrs abadoned and its not open source thats the problem so youd have to code your own cheat engine from scatch

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

also the homebrew launchers also already capable of using more then 64mbs of ram

No, there's a full story for why he did it. Apparently he was being harassed to release the source code (I might be getting this wrong) by a user and he ended up getting mad and deleted it. Nothing we can do about it now. NTR will never get o3DS+extended memory mode support without that source code.

Except that only smea knows how it works for now. And when it'll be released, it will be considered public knowledge, and that means no money from Ninty.
Indeed. People really seem to not understand how these bounties work. Nintendo are looking for people to find and report original bugs and exploits they've discovered themselves. They don't need some to tell them that hax 2.8 has been released.

Imagine if GW released their source to them and information about their exploit lmao.

I wouldn't say never. It could still be RE'd the way RxTools was when people managed to break his signature patches.

What i would say however is that it won't have a big demand for any actual dev to care and RE that code.

*and this is where i get spammed by that guy*

I have 3 o3ds's and haven't felt the need to use NTR on a single one of them. I find NTR kind of messy. And for the stuff HANS can do (other than the screenshots) i find repacked .cias with alternate id's, better.

However this can prove really useful if somehow hax* can now get extended memory mode for homebrew (instead of mantaining hb on extended memory games)

So unless we can decompile NTR into source code, it won't be possible. From what I've seen, decompiling a 3dsx is possible (though NTR isn't 3dsx).

You can decompile NTR.bin with IDA pro. Someone was doing it and was starting to get places but his laptop died and he lost all of his work since the hard drive went with his work :(

No by died I mean it overheated and killed his laptop.

That type of stuff should be done in a big computer rig, laptops tend to be weaker or have overheating issues. I'm sorry. Wasn't the user that did that Nanquitas? or am i confusing him with someone else?

Yeah it was him, and Reverse Engineering doesn't really require that much processing power, as my old Lenovo Laptop from 2012 can run it just fine :rofl2:

they need to have a strong line up on the launch titles too. I think they should move metroid prime 4 to the next console because by now it has been quite a while and there's no release date scheduled yet

well as far as metroid prime 4 is concerned, the next system probably is similar enough to the current gen they can probably easily just slap it onto a next gen cart and call it good :P
