Discuss here your and other people's age when they started hacking or programming things.

Better not cluther up the Wii U Hacking Discussion with this any more.

Uh, I didn't start in preschool. I only really got interested around 4th grade.

I just confused preschool with primary school. :wtf:

I'm 15 for anyone that cares. I've been interested in building/disassembling things since... pheeeeew I guess 7th grade, so that'd be when I was 11-12. However, I haven't really been able to get into coding, and only got into homebrew when I finally decided to hack my Wii last year

well when i was 7 i made a malicious email called 'pikachu your my friend' send it to thousands of aol users. around the time i started developing adware called bonzai buddy that would sneakily install, it was disguised as a shopping partner kind of like clippy but malicious. oh man not to mention the various different p2p clients. kazaa, limewire, limefrost, those would turn your computer inside out. just awhile ago i defaced multiple big outlet stores filled with faux info on tupac being alive ... or maybe it wasn't faux. last couple stints i pulled were teaching sony a lesson about movies and stuff and leaked all their emails. recently i just use popular torrent applications to use various peoples computer resources to mine bitcoins for myself. all at 7

>Be off working on new material
>Come back to see this

I didn't think this would be necessary lol...I'm assuming everyone got bored in the main thread and this became yet another topic?

Anyone wants to know my body measurements?

Could make the thread less pointless. Or more sexy, you decide.

And yes, we should not measure people by their ages. It's 2015 people.

Eh, I'm 16. Probably the youngest third-party Nintendo developer out there.
Though, I can't really see how age correlates to 'hacking' in general.

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, my PC can't run most AAA games so i wont

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
