Then you built it incorrectly or your R4 isn't as 'original' as you think. YSMenu works perfectly on original R4's if you do it right.

Umm. it worked good until it only reads files but not showing all the text. only backgrounds and selection box. and icons.

Format your SD card with the Panasonic formatter and rebuild YSMenu from scratch using YSMenu0903270000 and the unofficial DSTT v1.17a02 firmware.

Is it? I thought getting an alternate firmware working correctly on the R4 was the entire point of this thread.

Then as I said earlier - you are not building it correctly or your R4 isn't an original.

EDIT: If you can't even get a known compatible firmware to work what makes you think you'll have more luck with a 100% incompatible firmware?

you just reminded me that someone from china recenlty wrote a custom firmware for r4
i can't remember the details of his firmware (i think it was based on dstt or ysmenu)
he was having the idea of making a firmware for all flash cart (i'd never doubt about him because of his know how)
too bad, i could not test it because my r4 is dead

therefore, it can be done if you really have the knowledge

You got that the wrong way around. Only an idiot would encourage someone to try something that will not work.

Why not jump out of a very high window? After all, you don't know if you can fly until you try. Or eat a dog turd, they may be delicious. You won't know unless you try.

sorry. My bad. i set this topic up just to say that i got Acekard 2 firmware almost working on my R4. Maybe i used some bad words. My english is a little fluent but i have some difficulties with hard words. So. Sorry

Currently it shows on Top screen Blue and Green on Bottom. i know that i miss the rest of the firmware files. so One more time: Can someone send me All the firmware files found on the CD of on the Acekard 2?

just download ak firmware from this site ( gbatemp ) or get akaio
the 2 files are akmenu4.nds and _aio ( folder )

That's just the problem. Only these two files give me blue and green screen: __ak2 and akmenu4.nds
but i'll try AKAIO.

This whole thread is stupid. Depravo is correct. YSMenu0903270000 + Unofficial DSTT Kernel V1.17a02 = 100% compatibility (minus one game that can be played on R4 1.22 and isn't very good anyway).
