What happens if you delete the games from your sd card?

Even if they learn to boot stuff off of the SD card in the 3DS, I would still want the Flash card of the future to have it's own slot for a Micro SD card. This allows for more memory to be added . Kinda like having a slave drive in your desk top. I also have to agree as soon as the flash card companies figures out how to "Hack" the 3DS they'll do a little money dance in their office and then mass produce some cards.

Honestly, it's going to take a couple of years to fully hack the 3DS and be able to play 3DS homebrew let alone 3DS backups.

you really think flash cart companies dont have the rom files and are not analyzing them , they are driven to make a cart to run those files as the first cart will make them tons of money

I don't believe flash card companies are the ones that find the holes in the security. That is left to actual hacking teams like Team Twizzers. They may widen and find more holes, but they don't make/find the first batches of holes that start the chain of events.

Nintendo is losing there grip and THQ said it had sophisticated anti-piracy but no Btw Nintendo said that they have no intention of brick 3DS besides they will get sued for breaking
someones property and please tell the people who believe that they will to tell them that its ok they aint gonna brick you

By the way, Nintendo WILL brick 3DS consoles if they want. Heck, they even said the next update will completely lockdown every single console worldwide that installs the update. This of course means that they'll also close up shop and become a new secret service that will turn up in the middle of the night to rid you of all your electronic devices.

Either that, or I just hate pointless replies. Of which this is probably one. But hey, one bad deed deserves another. At least, that's how it should work.

Even though I have no knowledge, doesn't this make it a teensy weensy bit easier for hackers if it is handed to them on a plate, or in this case, a TF card?

The files are encrypted with 1 key per individual console. It's about as "revealing" as being able to dump ROMs(which is now possible) and about as useless as intercepting a top secret communication that you cannot understand.

i was just messing around inside the sd card, and tcjj was right about the data base files, if deleted and the private folder is left alone the games wont show up. if in the case you want to play your vc games on 2 3ds's at the same time, just copy the contents 1 sd card to the other. if people test more we can find out what files are what games/apps and by watching for similarities in the data base files we might be able to find code used to list the games/apps you may use. i think i'll start a thread to post information on the files people find.

Games still don't run off the SD card anyways. You have to transfer them internally to play after you download it.

Wrong, only DSiWare can be played internally. 3DSWare runs off the SD Card. The Eshop won't let you download 3DSWare without a SD Card with write-protection disabled. That is why the 3DS comes with the 2GB Toshiba SD Card.

i try copy a eshop game for another SDcard and it work, on SDcard1 and SDcard2 (no card protection )

When you download a eShop game it says destitation SD card so does that mean we could take the key and crack em?
I also looked inn my SD and here the format of it: SD:/Nintendo 3DS\89d7560caa5aa4c60143a56d65a5fb15\bcdb00a530107f1330303030001b534d then there are 3 folders
folder 1:dbs
folder 2:extdata
folder 3:title

in folder one you will see :import.db and title.db
in folder two you will see a folder with 8 zeroes and in the 8 zeroes folder you will see two other folders one named 0000008f and the other named 00000326
in the 0000008f you will another zeroes folder. In that zeroes folder you will see 0000001 to 5 with no file extension
in the 00000326 you will see another zeroes folder and inside that zeroes folder you will see a series of zero files with letters at the end of em

in folder 3 you will see 00040000 then two folders 00032600 and 00054300

in the 00054300 folder you will see two folders data and content.

in the content folder you will see 0000000.app, .tmd and 00000001.app
and a cmd folder with a .bat apllication inside.
