It's not 'Marionette god', it's 'God's marionette' which is infinitely creepy.

So anyways, back ON TOPIC, why did it take the Japanese so long to get such a great title? I wonder if the ending song will stay the same. It doesn't need to be changed on account of the fact that it was so good, but I'm just curious about the changes across regions occurring in sort of the reverse direction here.

Didn't anyone actually play the game?

As the Creator, you're asked to bring a mannequin to life by designing your hero on it to go and save everyone. Which is why it gradually turns back into a plain puppet as you lose health. Which is creepy as f'k if you drew a person, cause it looks like the clothes are flying off every time you get hit :S

you not just save everyone, you have to get them some fucking toys and do whut ever they want! play the whole game you'll geddit
