Yeah, it's called setting up emunand. Read any guide.I'm doing this on an N3DS for a friend. Is it possible to keep the NAND that is currently on 10.6, with Street pass and everything that has been installed, and move that to emunand?

Hey guys,
I followed the guide and got stuck at part 2 (https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-2-(Downgrading)). After downgrading I pressed b to reeboot and the blackscreen appeared. After few minutes I turned of the console and restarted it. The black screen was still there, so i removed sd card but it didnt help. I got black screen at the boot up with or without sd card, did bricked it?
I've got old 3dsxl and it was on 10.4 before the downgrade.
Power off the console and power it back up in safe/recovery mode.
1. Press and hold A+R+L+Up (D Pad) and power on the console.
2. Keep holding the buttons for about 5 seconds or until the System Update screen appears....if it fails to appear, it's bricked.
3. Then updated to 10.6 and try the downgrade again.
Already tried that, and nothing appears. Looks like its bricked
Ugh. See you need to read next time. You bricked for no reason.Yep, looks like i fucked up and used n3ds files. Probably nothing i can do right now to fix it?

Correct me if im wrong but:
But even with hardmod theres nothing you can do without nandbackup you made before downgrade?!
Can this be done on a higher fw than 9.2-x?That's true. But if you have done it right, you made a NAND.bin backup as soon as you launched EMUNAND9 in Homebrew and backed it up everywhere.

Is there any way to check the version of a pre-downloaded update?
that only helps if you can get that far. if you brick downgrading to 9.2, you cant really do stuff in 9.2 yetThat's true. But if you have done it right, you made a NAND.bin backup as soon as you launched EMUNAND9 in Homebrew and backed it up everywhere.

with what? thats only possible with a hardmod, or arm9 access. unless theres a new arm9 exploit for 9.3+, decrypt9 and such wont workYou should also make a backup while on 10.6, the moment when you enter HB.
No j mean. You can't set up emunand on 10.6. So your downgrading the 10.6 sysnand with the data you want to keep. Does the downgrade keep this info?Yeah, it's called setting up emunand. Read any guide.
