Now it looks good, hehe

BTW have you noticed Protrait of Ruin doesn't load anymore after you aded the cache settings? It used to boot before on the old versions without the custom settings but crashed when it tried to play the intro video, now it stops at the white screens.

I never tried Portrait of Ruin in a while. For me, it black screened after the company logos.

TWLoader v6.4.0
EDIT: v6.4.1 fixes an overlooked bug.

What's new?/Improvements
  • SDK version reading/checking has been ported from nds-bootstrap!
You no longer need to hold Up to run games that use TWLSDK/SDK5!
  • Volume icon is white if top border is off in DSi theme. (requested by @piratesephiroth)
What's new?
  • SDK version for selected game can be viewed in per-game settings!
  • Added Moonshell 1.71's BlueMoon theme as R4 subtheme. About time a nice theme gets added!
  • If donor ROM is not set, SDK3-4 games will not be launched, as a message will appear (for DSi/3DS theme users).
Bug fixes
  • Fixed Nintendo logo not showing in DS(i) boot screen, if page isn't 1 in DSi/3DS menu ROM select.
  • Fixed LED color setting for GB game being saved to a .nds' .ini file, instead of the GB game's .ini file.
  • Fixed game counter in 100s being out of bounds in R4 theme.

Also have you tried homebrew? NeoDS isn't working on the latest versions of nds-bootstrap either and it used to work fine for the longest time, even before TWLoader was created.

Yeah, that's normal for now. The bootstrap for homebrew currently isn't stable.
We're waiting for RAM disk support for homebrew.

Oh!I think I get it.I got plenty of old ds games laying around.

Edit:How do I set up a donar cart?
Just insert it in the cartridge slot. It should have the same save type as the rom you want to run.
As the text says it can't save to the SD yet so I think it will write to the donor cart SRAM instead.

Press SELECT to set a donor ROM, not START.
I know that... But it seems like the option disapeared (maybe cause of the text?)

The text was confusing in my language... Soyrry for that :P

Wait no actually there's a problem... In french it said "LED color",in english, '"Set as donor rom"

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
